I'm glad you posted this. I was wondering if anyone tried it yet (Tacoma/4runner) rims on our trucks. I think the Tacomas have a stock offset of 35mm, so that would make it perfect (out about an inch or so). With the 18mm offset, how much does the tire stick out from the fender? Thanks!

It sticks little bit less than a 1/2inch out. I used hub centric rings to center the wheels because Toyota / Ranger have an different center hole. I will get this week my 3" leveling, after them I can maybe use my 1,25 spacer as well, currently no way

Just wanted to contribute something that would have helped me when I was deciding what tires/wheels I wanted. On 2 separate occasions in less than 7,000 miles I've had rocks cut into my stock hankooks; once just enough to cut/lodge itself in the rubber, the other time actually puncturing the tire. I wanted something that would inspire a little more confidence on trails and also fill up the wheel wells a little better. Finally settled on 265/70/17 BFG KO2's.

I also really liked the looks of the Fuel Shoks that I've seen a few users her put on their ranger so I decided to change everything at the same time. It seems pretty well accepted here that 265/70/17's will fit with no issues, but for anyone also looking to change out their wheels, this was not the case for me. The Fuel Shoks have at most a +20mm offset vs the stock +55 and they are an inch wider as well. I was able to move the crash bars and get most of the clearance I needed, but there was still some rubbing at full lock, especially in reverse.

I ended up with two choices: custom crash bars or leveling kit. I went for the Ready Lift 2" leveling kit so as not to lose too much of the factory rake and I'm really happy with the results.

Wheels are basically flush with the body now so the truck has a much better stance IMO. The BFG's also seem to ride better than the Hankooks so far with hardly any difference in road noise.

Your truck looks really good! I think that the tires and level kit makes a huge difference in the overall stance and ride. I have the Nitto Ridge Grapplers in that same size along with a 2.5" RC Level and have no rubbing issues. I still can't find the right wheels so I'm just using the stock sport wheels for now.

Well damn, that makes me nervous now that I've ordered 265/70/R17s. I went with Enkei Matrix because they have a +30 offset over the Fuel +20, so maybe that will save me? I ended up going with the bigger tire because that reduced the scub distance from the smaller offset and I like how it fills out the wheel well. But was hoping to avoid rubbing at anything but full load/lock.

Guess I need to look at leveling kits. I use the truck as a truck so don't want to change the rake too much for when its under load, and definitely don't want a lift.

Super interested to see how my +30 wheel offset is gonna look now.

Looks like those wheels also come in a 17x8? So you might be ok if you're sticking to the same width as stock and a 30mm offset. If you do end up with some rubbing just remember there's some play in the crash bars and they can be moved forward slightly to give a little more clearance. If that doesn't work, the 2" level worked out great for me. I felt the same as you and wanted to keep most of the rake.

I used the SVC Leveling collars. They've been great.

Yeah for some reason when you try to navigate from their home page to their Ranger parts it doesn't show up. If you Google "Readylift 2" level for Ranger" it shows up: https://www.readylift.com/2-leveling-kit-ford-ranger-4wd-2019.html

I put a fabtech 21/2 level kit that gives the front 371/2 and the rear 381/2 a 1 inch difference.
265/70/17 still wouldn't fit,the front would not allow locking left or right turning.
. At first I had back country 245/75/17 AT's on but wanted MT's with white letters and Les Schwab tires had no tires in the MT's with nothing but black wall's so I got bighorn 245/70/17s with owl and they are 8 plies and the Ranger is a midsize truck and tare weight is not as great as the full size so in my opine they should be fine I do not put a lot of miles on my vehicles so the wear should be fine.
I did in the past have a 99 Dodge 1500 4x4 that had them and they were half wore out in 10000 miles so was concerned with the quality but with the smaller truck I felt that should cause the tire to wear better, cross my fingers. Les Schwab gave full retail in exchange for the 1st set that wore down to 50% on the dodge so as they have always been fair with me I went a head and bought the bighorns, now we shall see, I also had them on a 90 bronco II with no qualms or issue's.
The black wheels are ultra nemesis 17/9 6-135/5.5 black and silver spokes
that I also have in the 18 inch for my Ram.
