Stock battery on my 19, just checked it yesterday with a Midtronics conductance tester, said to replace the battery. 5 years is pretty good to me.

Just wanted to let everyone know that you can use FORSCAN to up your battery charge rating. From the factory, the battery is only set to charge to 70%. I used FORSCAN to up the charge percentage to 90%. Around 3 years, my battery was dying over night, so I changed these charge settings and now a year later I've had zero issues with the battery dying or getting low on charge! I highly recommend.

I’m about to upgrade battery looking into Odyssey
Still on original battery

https://www.odysseybattery.com/products/odp-agm94r-h7-l4-battery-94r-850/

Made in USA!

they’re pricey but worth in in my opinion. I found a local generator/elec. motor shop I can pick one up for $289.
When my battery finally goes, I am planning on replacing with this! https://fullriverbattery.com/batteries/part-ft850-94r/

Thanks for sharing that Odyssey is USA made, that makes me happy to hear. If fullriver batteries were made in USA I think I would know about it... I just have only heard good things from folks in the offroad community who run lots of aux-lights, so thought this might be a good option

My original battery was replaced on warranty after around 2.5 years of use. The replacement battery lasted just under 6 months and was also replaced under warranty. The Ford Battery Management System is a poor design and diminishes battery life too soon. To increase battery life, I got a BatteryMINDer and a NOCO charger.

Have you or the dealer checked for a parasitic drain?
This doesn’t sound normal especially when many owners like myself are still running the stock battery without a Forscan adjustment.

So I went to the dealer here in CT and bought a new battery, $208 plus state tax. Not terrible. My local Deka dealer wanted $245, and even though I use Deka in all my fleet trucks, forty bucks is forty bucks.

Does this indicate anything? Been happening lot more often past few weeks, starting to piss me off.

I have a voltmeter on my Spod display, which shows 14.7 to 14.9 when parked, up to 15.1 when running. In late December I started getting the "Drive your vehicle to reconnect FordPass and exit battery saver mode" and would not allow any remote Fordpass actions to work It also disabled the intelligent access on all but the driver's door. All eatures still worked from the key fob, and throughout the voltmeter never went below 14.7 anytime the truck was off.

I assumed it was a gremiln in the Fordpass app, not so much a problem with the truck. At home it's parked in a garage. At work normally parked outside, but even when I parked in the shop which was 70F, I still got the message. It was always within a minute of shuttting the truck down, regardless of how long it ran, where it was parked, or what the temp was.

Unfortunately I had forgotten my trickle charger at the cottage, so I couldn't set it up. I updated the truck software, and Fordpass software a few times over the winter, neither had any affect. In March I finally got my trickle charger back, ran it on he truck for 22 hours, no change. Then a few weeks later, suddenly the messages stopped and Fordpass has worked perfectly since.

It somewhat suggests it was weather/temps related, but not completely. I look at my voltage everytime I get in the truck, it has been coonsistently 14.7 at start-up for over a year, and always runs at 15.0 to 15.1. When it started I put my booster pack in the truck, and cables as well, for the just in case scenario, but fairly confident the battery isn't the problem.

Further testing starts in about 7 months, lol.

The dealer tested the batteries and not sure they did the parasitic drain check? Here are the two replacement battery tests that the dealer did...would the parasitic drain test be included in them?

Mine lasted over 100K miles, almost 5 years before it died...pretty decent considering how much load I've placed on it...the Everlast replacement is struggling a bit and I've already warrantied it...we'll see how long this lasts...I just installed the NOCO 2D onboard charger today...

Due to the good old voltage system on these trucks, did you at least go to chassis ground with the charger?

Should I? I thought negative should go through BMS?

When charging the battery with your onboard charger that you shown there, you do want it to go through the BMS. How you have a go through the BMS is having the negative side on your chassis ground. That'll have it go through the BMS sensor versus if you had it connected directly to the negative on the battery.
