I have a 2019, over the weekend helped someone out with a dead battery. It got me thinking if I should be looking at replacing mine as it is the original. I'd rather be proactive than the truck not starting in some random parking lot.

Has anyone had their battery die from normal use yet on any 2019's?
i got my 2019 almost exactly a year ago. a month after i got it i left the headlights on overnight one time and that was it, dead battery. Not exactly relevant as the AGM battery will die if you run it down BUT the part that is relevant, the very knowledgeable guy at the battery supply warehouse said the AGM batteries generally last around 3 years maybe 4 so i was near due to replace anyway. As others are saying, it should show some signs like the auto stop start disabling itself etc. These batteries are not cheap mine cost $300 here in CA. So yeah, probably start planning...
Theoretically the auto stop start can save you that money in gas so it is something of a wash but sure doesn't feel that way.

Bought my 2019 in April 2019 new and battery still going strong with 26000+ miles but I occasionally also get the "system shut down to conserve battery " message. Also the "ASS" doesn't work and the manual says it might be because the battery is low and the AC is on.
that really sounds like a battery that needs to be replaced soon/ let us know how many more miles you get out of it, i'm curious because these are what others said are the indicators of a dying battery.

Recently discussed here (along with a good buy on replacement AGM)

I have a 2019 XLT. It still starts and runs fine. But Auto Start Stop no longer works. ASS has not worked in over a year. I also get the message "system shutting down to save battery" on the media display.

But I can let the truck sit for over a week and it still starts.

So I bought the new bargain AGM (price was so good). I also bought the larger Lariat sized battery (and associated cover). But I am going to wait for full failure of the original battery before I replace.

I think Ford has tight tolerances on the battery parameters. If they are not met then it progressively starts disabling things. Even though there is plenty reserve to start the truck.

Is that possible? I've left interior lights and grill LED 6" bars on and seems like it was automatically turned off the BMS...

only if you are really dumb like me// while the truck will shut off all accs after 10 minutes, if you leave the headlights in the ON but NOT "auto" position, they will stay on until the battery is dead. somehow i walked away without noticing that it does ding like mad if you take out the keys with lights on. Now i pay attention to that /doh/

WOW! I would have said 5 yrs, cuz, here that's what mine usually last.
But in AZ, the south, the heat, seems to be worst then the cold.
3 yrs for you southerners.

Had a 1995 Jeep Wrangler, had the original OEM battery for 13 years. No battery tender. Nada. Nothing.

Got a little worried and decided to swap out the battery. New battery lasted 6 months.

6/2019 with 57k miles. ASS disabled early on and since 2020 its driven 12 miles daily or further. Kept outside under a carport so we’ll see if it makes it through this winter.

The stock battery in my 2019 Lariat is still going strong. There have even been times when we were traveling out of the country for several months and just left the truck in the garage. It always fired up fine afterward. I have not done anything special to maintain it, just dumb luck I guess.

Does this indicate anything? Been happening lot more often past few weeks, starting to piss me off.

if its happening with-in the 14 day period of non use, and youre driving it frequently, I would say you have a battery issue.
Mine like clock work will activate the battery saver mode exactly on the 14th day of being parked. Its likely more on a clock timer, than the actual state of my battery in my case.

I bought my 2019 new and at around 15k I was in traffic in my small town and forgot to disable auto stop and when I let my foot off the brake the truck died. Got a jump and went to the dealer and battery was totally dead. So far my 2022 has almost 20k on it and still going good.
