In "Days of Thunder", Duval said to Tom Cruise, "Tires, are what wins the race!" He was more right, than most can imagine!

Buy a set of BFG'S KO2's! you won't be sorry!!

I am very satisfied with the ford performance tune. Someone said it sort-of protects your warranty, which I think is underselling the warranty protection. Ford isn't going to say their tune caused damage to your truck, so your warranty will remain intact.

I’m not tuned but there are a ton of options - Ford Performance tune protects your warranty (sort of) and the Livernois tune has great flexibility for fuel choices. Research those two here on the forums - lots of info. Reach out to members who haved posted in those areas. Most are helpful and will respond. Others just want to convince you to buy a tailgate damper or 303 Graphene Detailer. ;)

But everyone knows, Duke’s 404 is 101 times better. ?
Interestingly enough ford treats the ford performance tune as any other third party tune. I had my truck in to get one of the transmission tsb's completed and their system flagged my fp tune as third party despite it being ordered directly from ford. They were fine with it once I gave them the tuner and paperwork from ford. Because of this I dug into it with ford corporate and they confirmed that technically the fp tune is third party because ford performance is a separate company.
Despite all of that if someone is looking for a tune I still recommend the fp tune as it is a very conservative tune and it was made by ford engineers.

I was under the impression the Ford tune is just re-branded Livernois.

If you have an FX4 - Bilstein 5100s ABSOLUTELY
If your Significant other is vertically challenged go for AMP Power Steps - only addition to my truck my wife appreciates!

Ok Ill be serious and these are the mods I have done in order of value and use for me. They are all +/- close to a $1000 bux:
1.) Eiback Pro Truck 2.0. transforms the trucks ride plus adjustable to 3+ inches of lift.
2.) Diode dymnanic pro amber fog lights. These things are amazing especially in inclement weather.
3.) Hard tri fold ConAgra bed cover. Does not leak a drop!
4. ) Rhino spray in liner and bedrug. Looks as good as when installed nearly 5 years ago.
5.) Thinkware 1000 front/rear camera. Has already paid for itself in traffic camera warnings. Was irrefutable evidence when rear ended last June.
6.) Cooper Discovery Rugged Treck 265/70/17 very rugged and nice riding tires for being a hybrid M/T. Excellent offroad and look bad ass!
7.) Extended warranty 8/100000 miles thru Flood Ford. Listed last as I have yet to use it?

Fyi other than a bettery replacement recently have not spent a penny on mods in 2+ years as the truck is exactly how I like it.

That's the first time I've heard that, I wouldn't rule it out but I would say it's probably unlikely. Based on the numbers from the other 2.3 vehicles like the mustang it seems like it's just the 91+ octane tune that the mustang automatically switches to with a truck profile to be better suited for towing.

The Ford tune uses the same programmer box but the tune itself is different.

There are some rumors that the the FPT was actually done by Livernois.
