Most of us purchased these trucks before gas was $5/gal-ish.

Looks like I might be going back to the tow tune so I can use 87 again. ☹
Yeah I just switched back to 87 yesterday. After I get my 10k check up, going to try out the 87 soft tune
I tried it but just couldn't do it. lol I flashed back to the 87-89 soft shift tune this morning. It's about 7 miles to Sam's Club and I immediately noticed a huge difference on the way there and it felt slow. Yes it was better than stock (which I can barely remember) but having run the 91-93 tune for almost 2 years now I could really tell the difference. So I broke down and filed it up with 91 ($4.75/gal) and re-flashed it back to the 91-93soft shift tune. I keep setting a point where I'll go back to 87 so next up will be the $5.00/gal mark which will probably be a few days from now. :curse:

Do you use drive or sport? I was driving with stock for the last month and a half because I was wanting to do a comparison. After just flashing to 87 soft, it feels better. Stock wasn't that bad though. I was still getting up to 70 pretty quick. It felt better than when i first got the truck. The updated 93 octane soft shift in sport mode kind of feels off, drive mode was good. When I eventually do premium again, if they don't have an update, I may ask for the previous version. Sport mode with the 87 felt good though. I need to get some kind of gauge to see what it's doing

I use both D and S modes. It's been so long since I've had it stock that the 87-89 soft shift made it feel very slow. It did shift good and felt smooth but coming from the 91-93 soft shift tune it was very noticeable.

I went from 93 soft shift to stock with premium and then downgraded to 87. Didn't feel much of a difference except maybe sport. It struggled a little more when going from 65 to 70. Switched to 87 soft shift better now with sport.

I'm leaning towards going back to premium though after my road trip.

So literally as of today, I would buy Baja Design Squadron Pro ditch lights and a pair of Squadron Sport lights for the lower grill opening.

That or a set of 285/70/17 KO2 but that would likely break $1k as of today and my Generals only have 15k miles.

Hum....third option.....Ford Performance tune and Squadron Sport for the lower grill opening might fly under the $1k mark

Eibach leveling kit for $600, and some 33 inch Kenda's that are on sale right now at wallyworld site. It would be almost $1100, but lift and tires done! Edit- Tire sale is over! I got a set 2 weeks ago for $121/ea. Now almost $200/ea. Sad days

That is one butt-ugly light fixture.
I wouldn't give you $20 for it even if I WAS drunk. Much less $1K.
Just sayin'
