Gave it a transfusion. About 7 qts with some Lubegaurd Platinum. 42,900 smiles. Took it for a little test spin just to warm it & mix it up.
Edit: Forgot to thank Mike at MBS for the Fitzstick & funnel which made it a simple chore

Link for the pump?
Don't have it handy but got off Amazon. Somebody will probably show up with the link. Other members here have the same pump.

After and absolute cluster f--- of a time getting all the parts, the RPG UCAs are installed.

I believe I left off when the UCA arrived with the wrong spacers and they were being over nighted. Well, they entered my address wrong for the first delivery and it was delayed a day. I forgot to have it corrected for the second delivery. UPS tried to deliver to the wrong address, then I had to update, and it was delivered on the second day.

Well, the new spacers were wrong too. I called RPG and the tech support guy scoffed at me and acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. I did finally get him to replace the spacers. He said he would call me back and... 45 minutes later I called them. Sales agreed to overnight a full set of spacers (8 total) to me so that I could be sure they were all the right spacers. This was Wednesday last week. They were supposed to ship out Thursday and arrive Friday. Friday came and went, no spacers. Of course, I had to call Monday... When I called the sales guy had no idea why they hadn't shipped out. This time I made sure to have them correct the address. Late Monday, I finally got a tracking number to the WRONG address again. I called and they had to correct it. For f--- sake. Anyway, spacers arrived yesterday and I was able to get them installed today. Total install time was 3 hours INCLUDING a tool run to Home Depot, dinner, and a test drive.

Tomorrow a buddy is coming over to do an alignment - old school style.

All things aside, these are beautiful.

Since I haven't done the alignment, I only drove around the block but they feel great.

Edit: I was getting some popping in the front end at full turn. I diagnosed it down to the upper ball joints on the Icon UCAs that I had installed prior to this. They've been great for 50,000 miles but... after the jump to 35s, they just couldn't take it anymore. So far, no more popping. Obviously, it will take more time to confirm but... I am hopeful. I do also need to replace the outer tie rod ends on the steering as one of them is looking weak. A friend of mine found some parts that are serious upgrades from factory but... they come at a cost. I will be looking in to them, but I might just go OE replacements. They're $40 as opposed to $200.

I want you to know, last night, when I read this, I had no idea what you were going on about with the "Mrs. Lincoln" comment. I *could not* put it together.

This morning, it made perfect sense. I got smacked in the head by that joke.

😂

Time delay is fine. Dating myself here but when I was in high school in the '70's, occasionally I would wave around a wire coat hanger and admonish my 9 YO brother with "No wire hangers ever!". He was amused by it but one day he was watching the movie "Mommy Dearest" in his college dorm. When the mother said "No wire hangers ever!", he laughed so much his roomies thought he was nuts.

I got my "free" $1000* annual oil change yesterday. Soupie's almost 4 years old with a whopping 11,397 miles and this is the 4th oil change ...

Apart from that, and being incredibly dirty from a slushy winter and grubby paw prints for the mini wolf, Soupie's doing great! Did a dump ruin two days ago and will do another on Saturday (spring cleanup of the house and yard).

Whatchu talkin' about paw prints? Not mine ...

I keep forgetting Soupie is your Ranger and not your doggie. Hard to tell sometimes which one your taking about.

I got a set of OLM headlights ((like Morimoto XB) a while back on Ebay for under $450. Took a chance with no warranty. They were fine for a while but occasionally a few bulbs in the sequential directional wouldn't illuminate. Then, on low beam they started leaking light like highs were partially on. Finally had enough and got a set of AlphaRex Nova's and installed those today. I am getting good at it. First time was about 4 hours, today was 2 hours and 20 minutes. They look great so far, looking forward to a night drive. I actually like the look of them better, even if the start up sequence is goofy!
