Of course you can, that's part of why it's textured there! Hitch steps are more for accessibility and protection of the bumper cover, especially in tight parking spaces or bumper-to-bumper traffic.
Or cars bouncing into you sitting on the ferry while it’s docking and banging into the bump stops.

Since we are showing off our hitch steps! GEN-Y Step! To accessorize my GEN-Y HITCH! It does take away from my departure angle.

Folks better not be face-first in their mobile phones while walking through the Home Depot parking lot when you’re there Eli.

Reminds me of the Bear Claw pedals from my BMX days. Your shins were done if your foot ever slipped, and mine did once. That's all it took and I immediately swapped pedals after  .

I lost track of the number of times that happened with my first mountain bike. I was only too happy to see clip-in pedals come along.

Pics or it never happened.

OHHHH, you can't just end like that. Rats? Frozen?
I am federally permitted to rescue and transport eagles and other raptors. I transport them to a federally licensed rehabilitation facility. One of their favorite delicacies is rats. The facility in Maryland raises rats for medical testing, reptile food, or otherwise. They have a surplus every month and donate that surplus once a month to nonprofit organizations which is what the rehabilitation facility is. So either I or the owner of the facility go once a month to get some of the free rats. Usually get about four or five big bundles of them. I can just imagine being pulled over and trying to explain huge bundles of frozen rats to the officers.

My science teacher in grade 8 or so had a fridge in the corner of his classroom filled with frozen frogs and rats for dissecting. The rumor among the students year-after-year was that he snacked on them.
