So, I tried to find this for sale in Canada but only one place has it - a third-party vendor on Walmart.ca and they want $63 for a 16 oz. bottle.

It’s sulphuric acid based so I’ll be doing a bit of research before going this route.
If you concerned about safety, this is a paste like product which makes it easy to control.

It doesn't really run off until its introduced to water. You'll get fling off if using a buffer at higher speeds obviously.

Wear latex gloves, and some level of ventilation and you'll be perfectly fine.

Here's what my hand looked like after not using gloves like an idiot.

See, not *that" bad.

It's $25 on Amazon, not sure of the Canadian currency exchange rate.

Hey thanks, nice hands there Costanza! I was more concerned about other surfaces and fixtures in the shower.

Amazon won’t ship it here, Amazon.ca doesn’t carry it, and the Driven rep informed me it isn’t available here.

The third-party selling it on Walmart.ca has a two week delivery timeline so they’re likely importing it from the U.S. but I’m not convinced I’d receive it because sulphuric acid is a restricted substance/component according to the H&S site.

Oh well, elbow grease and a strong vinegar/water solution, I guess.

Dang, that sucks. Makes sense I suppose.

If I come across a Canadian friendly product similar to this I'll let you know.

I do know the old bon ami stuff works great but they stopped making the glass safe version long time ago, and finding any usable cans are pricey. Any powder or abrasives based glass cleaner should work just as well.

I don't know why but I literally forget about this product every time. Heard good things, but anytime I think about buying it my brain straight up dumps it.

Sort of like the basement project I've been forgetting for the past 5 months.

I took advantage of buy 3, get 1 for $1 tire promotion last month at the Ford Dealer. BFG KO2's were discontinued & so I ended up with the KO3's. There's still fair amount of tread left on the KO2, so I saved one of them, bought a single Ford Performance wheel to match the other four for full size spare(LT265/70R17). Finally put it on over the weekend.

Old spare was sligtly dirty. I'll probably sell it cheap locally.

Very nice new wheel and tire. I'm so old school very first flat I had this truck, after the tire was repaired I told the guys at Quick Lane just to put the spare in the bed. I've got it strapped in with a couple of cheap Walmart bungee cords. 😁🤘

I finished a ~3800 mile cross-country drive a couple of weeks ago, so it was time to change the oil.

Before I left and at 80,000 on the odometer, I wanted to try an experiment and see what kind of results I could get switching from my usual Motorcraft brand oil and filter to AMSOIL's Signature Series oil and their brand of filter. I've read lots of folks' experiences and opinions with AMSOIL (or "SCAMoil" if you're salty) and wanted to see how it worked out for me, so used the 27hr one-way trip of Utah to Alabama as the proving ground. In my first tank of gas I put in a bottle of AMSOIL's P.I. additive, and every other tank I put in a bottle of their Upper Cylinder Lubricant along the way.

On the way down after about 800 miles or so, I started to feel a very unexpected boost in power / throttle response. I think the best way I can describe it was that it felt like I was in Sport mode, without being in Sport mode. When leaving a gas station in Illinois, I needed to thread the needle in traffic and ended up peeling out of there, tires squealing and all, which I have NEVER been able to do. I didn't have to use my usual lead foot to do basic things like pass on the left, etc. To be consistent and to be as fuel efficient as possible, I kept it between 65-70mph the entire way (yes, even in wide-open WY & NE) and got to Alabama averaging 20.5 mpg. I've never been able to get my truck up to the 20's before on any trip, so this was a nice surprise.

For the same trip but back in the opposite direction, I expected to lose a little bit of that mpg since going from AL>UT is a large elevation change. What shocked me even more was that I averaged 22.6 mpg on the drive home despite that.

From the huge power boost I experienced and the mpg I never thought possible with my truck's setup...yes I'm a believer now. Today I started that same cycle again and I'm curious to see how my city mpg's average out.

Got the oil changed and tires rotated. While there I saw what looks like another possible 10R80 victim getting worked on. :(

I went back and asked my advisor if he could ask them to check the transmission fluid while it was back there. I just wanted to make sure it was properly filled and made a comment to him that these transmissions have been a problem for a lot of people to which he just smirked and said "it sure has". It was at the correct level and they didn't even charge me which was nice.

added 300 watts of solar wired in series. it's 3 100 watt panels that are the flat flexible kind that had the perfect dimensions to fit completed on top of my roof top tent. Super strong construction adhesive and black really sticky water proof duct tape(so they say) to seal all the edges. passes the 70mph freeway test 💪

really happy and came out super clean.

Pampered the Ranger a bit this morning - I had washed it yesterday but I still needed to clean behind its ears, so to speak. Some bug and tar remover where needed, a 303 Detail Spray treatment, Aero Cosmetic Rubber care on the tires, deep cleaning and detail spray on the wheels, 303 protectant on the fender flares, grille, mirrors and other plastic trim pieces. I even put some 303 on the side steps that I restored over the winter.

For a six-year old work truck, it still looks good.
