Hate hydrophobic products with a passion... So I resort to this stuff to get a clean windshield.

And yes a buffer. Work smarter not harder.

Great for shower doors as well.

Where I am, the water is heavy with minerals - shower door gets water spots you need a chisel to remove if you don’t squeegee it EVERY time. I’m too lazy to do that and every week or so, I toil at removing them with vinegar and water.

Do you think that stuff (add the buffer) are up to the task?

Seems work fine for me but my doors are usually clean. Goto amazon and you'll see lot of positive customer reviews with pics.


As for the buffer, may as well use it.
Though I highly recommend you wear gloves and follow the directions fully.

Same hard water here and I do squeegee it. Even using 00steel wool and cleaner it doesn't all come off. Let me know if it works!

Brian,

I'm running a 5 Star tune. Mods include AFE Charge Tubes and Intake. Rousch Cold Air Intake box, CVF Intercooler, Turbo Smart Dual Port BOV, MBRP Cat back Exhaust System, and a Pedal Commander. She will light the 33" tires up at highway speeds if you get deep enough into the throttle.

So, I tried to find this for sale in Canada but only one place has it - a third-party vendor on Walmart.ca and they want $63 for a 16 oz. bottle.

It’s sulphuric acid based so I’ll be doing a bit of research before going this route.

If you concerned about safety, this is a paste like product which makes it easy to control.

It doesn't really run off until its introduced to water. You'll get fling off if using a buffer at higher speeds obviously.

Wear latex gloves, and some level of ventilation and you'll be perfectly fine.

Here's what my hand looked like after not using gloves like an idiot.

See, not *that" bad.

It's $25 on Amazon, not sure of the Canadian currency exchange rate.

Hey thanks, nice hands there Costanza! I was more concerned about other surfaces and fixtures in the shower.

Amazon won’t ship it here, Amazon.ca doesn’t carry it, and the Driven rep informed me it isn’t available here.

The third-party selling it on Walmart.ca has a two week delivery timeline so they’re likely importing it from the U.S. but I’m not convinced I’d receive it because sulphuric acid is a restricted substance/component according to the H&S site.

Oh well, elbow grease and a strong vinegar/water solution, I guess.

I do know the old bon ami stuff works great but they stopped making the glass safe version long time ago, and finding any usable cans are pricey. Any powder or abrasives based glass cleaner should work just as well.
