I am thinking of upgrading my transmission due to my current 10R80 transmission being very common to the CDF drum, F gear burning, and other OEM issues that are common. Currently have a shuddering issue at low speeds, & a bunch of other issues. I am curious, what I may need to upgrade on my truck such as Engine components, driveshaft, break components, etc. The transmission I am upgrading to is a Tier One, 10R80, stage 2 transmission. It can handle up to 725 horse power compared to the stock which is a lot more compared to stock transmission. Any advice on how or what to upgrade on my engine to increase horsepower & what would I need to change to handle that horsepower. I would greatly appreciate the info as I do know a decent amount but I am unsure if I’d be missing anything.

I am not sure that I am understanding your question.

A new transmission will not be supplying more power to the wheels, so I don't see the need to upgrade anything due to a transmission replacement.

It’s not like you can go any faster than 30 on the Gardner or DVP and not much more than 120 on the 401 but I get it - you want some power.

Upgrade all the plumbing going in, all the plumbing going out, including CAI and exhaust. Possibly the turbo, then tune the pants off it. Should be plenty fast.

You have it backwards. That trans can handle 750HP, it doesn't generate 750. Stock engine is fine. Even with all upgrades to the engine, you will never get to 750HP, MAYBE 400.

I heard the trans can handle 1,000+HP...in many pieces...

You aren’t making anything near 725hp
The stock engine will usually let go around 500 crank hp. It would take some serious work to make one that can handle that.
The stock transmission does just fine for handling power. My truck makes around 460hp at the crank and the stock transmission has zero problem with that.

I think the OP bailed. He made his one post and hasn't been seen since.

Replace the 2.3 Ecoboost with the 7.3 Godzilla.
