Using forscan I'd long changed the general power outputs to stop after 1 minute; is this power tap going to register that change, or is it alwys-on?
Just checking on this again...Does that mirror power tap turn off with the other power outputs (which i do want), or is it always-on (which i don't want)?

With the (Auto-Dim) power tap, Power is dropped when the truck is off.
Since another company (Dashcam) gives you the option to tap Rain Sense Power for the Dashcam.

Look at it this way:
If you tap off of the (Auto-Dim) Mirror
You will have Power on the Dash-Cam as long as you can move the (side-mirrors) with the Mirror Switch - So Ignition Must be in (ASSY or Run) to close the (Run/Start) Relay.
If you cannot move the side mirrors, then there is no power for the dash cam.

If you Tap off of the Rain Sensor
Same thing, except a different Relay has to close.
Accy Relay
If you can run the Windshield Wipers then the Rain Sensor is powered, so if connected here basically the same - The Run/Start Relay must be closed first, so Ignition must be in Assy or Run for the Dash -Cam to have power.

If you want a (parking) trigger to power the camera on - it must be tapped at the fuse box for a always (HOT) power and it relies on the internal camera operation to pick up motion sensing to turn on the camera and shut it back off (in a timed parameter)-(? =Amount of time)

So all this makes me wonder something about my RedTiger dascam which I originally just powered via the 12V accessory port, which stayed on an unknown amount of time after shut down. Then to clean things up, I bought an OBDII adapter, which can be set to always on, or on with ignition. When in the latter mode, it will power up the camera within seconds of starting the truck, or when starting via the app. It will stay powered on for an unknown amount of time after shutting off.
Any idea how long it stays on after shutting off if it's supposedly on with ignition?
