The install should have been easy, I had the dealer install the dash cam and trailer brake at delivery. I didn’t want to be taking my brand new truck apart, breaking clips and trim, and wanted a “professional” install. The polarizing filter FTW! =)
I used a piece of paper on the dash to rotate the filter for the least reflection (not sure all cams offer this helpful advice).
That Ford cam is top notch and it sounds like your install was easy (Dongar dongle?).
still a little glare but filter certainly helps

But, they must have had a 3rd grader do the install. Long story short, it was a mess and I finally gave up and basically reinstalled everything myself. My “new truck” feeling didn’t last a week.
Anyway, I like the camera(s). Performs better than expected and easy to control with the app. I do wish it had a record to cloud option and the only nit-pick, is that the manual record button was a little more prominent.
It does install with the OBDII dongle. That, you have to be careful with. My OEM OBDII plug is some sort of module mounted with the plug and it’s something I need to redo. There’s really no readily available place to relocate the module to then replace the dongle OBDII plug in the factory location. So, I have a tight bend where the dongle plugs into the original module still in the factory location. That bend will sometimes back off the connector a little and power down the camera. Have to keep an eye on it but, it hasn’t powered down in a long time.
