GAS mileage on a ford ranger 2019

Why is the gas mileage so bad i am getting 14mpg but i do have a 3inch lift and 33inch tires but I was getting 15mpg before the tires and lift and yes i drive easy i replaced the airlifter oil and sparkplugs any other reason why my gas mileage is so bad? (I have tried every bottle of gas injector cleaner)

I get over 22 mpg local, a little better on trips. Stock Lariat with no changes and that seems to be the norm if you leave it as it comes from the factory.

I have the fx4 Lariat and i only used to get 20 mpg on the freeway before the liftkit and tires

Your tires and lift is the reason for your fuel mileage sucks and only loosing one mpg from stock is pretty good.
I assuming your hand calculating your mpg’s.

15MPG isn't right for a stock truck. Should be nearer 22 something like that. But yes, a 3 inch lift and heavy tires are going to have a noticeable effect

Depends on what tires were on it, even at stock height. Is your speedo 100% accurate? How much over the speed limit do you drive? How many miles? Cat could be partially clogged, maf or map might be dirty, up on maintenance like plugs and good oil?

I have 88k drive like my avatar more than I should, get 20mpg in the city and up to 25 on highway. Hand calculated. Speedo is spot on, tuned 87 perf, some bolt ons, but I drive 72 on the highway. And minimal idling

Right now i have the toyo AT III 33 inches and city i drive the speed limit and on the freeway probly average 75 to 85 mph and the mass air flow sensor is clean and hte cat is fine i have no engine light and my idle is fine the google gps says my speedo is accurate maybe a 1 mph ~ 84k miles on it

I ran 33s with a 2.5 inch Lift(not to be confused with leveling) and was able to average around 20 to 23 MPG On a regular basis. It's something with you in the truck

If you're trusting the onboard computer and it hasn't been recalibrated after the wheel change you can't trust the readout. It's surmised Ford had the rake of the stock truck to help gas mileage and I can say that after I had the front raised to level mine my mileage suffered. Hard acceleration and sustained speeds above 70 mph will cause your MPGs to drop.

You can get it pretty close by following the direction in the thread below. It will take several full tanks to readjust after every adjustment. Both of my Rangers were a good 2 mpg off from the factory when I input it into my Fuelly app and hand calculated it. Now it's dead on but every once in a while I'll be a tenth or two off.

And yet one can see better MPG in the Cold as you have more dense air and the Engine doesn't have to work as hard to make power.
