Come on... that's just a fun title.

Anyway - I have the Tom Woods driveshaft and its time to lube the slip joint. Tom Woods recommends Phillips 66 Multiplex 220 #1 but is sold out. I tried searching Google for alternate retailers but they, too, are sold out.

I read online and Super Lube seems like a good option. Is there anything else I should be looking at? A mechanic friend recommended silicon based, but TW recommends calcium sulfonate. Google is coming up short on options in calcium sulfonate so... I am taking other opinions.

If you've used a good grease, I would love a recommendation.

single piece drive shaft - what about the critical speed you're going to make the shaft explode and it is going to go everywhere. . .

I've got like 15000 miles on without issue. The critical speed is 90 mph, of which I don't do... We good.

Nope, I read in an internet forum that a guy who has 25k posts said they are bad. He must know what he's talking about, he wouldn't blabber in the internet if he didn't.... ?

I remember running to Grainger for Mobil 1 grease, couldn't find it anywhere else and I was impatient.

Tom Woods specifies a NLGI #1 for the shaft of your Woody.

Woody's, shafts exploding, lube?!

Where am I again?

Oh, right...Tom Woods recommends keeping it under 100mph with 265/70/17 and you'll keep critical speed below their safety threshold. Should be fine for most of us who don't live near Nurburgring.
