From what I could tell when I looked at the updated versions they just increased the TW warranty to 70K, still double peak rated, etc.I think the original hankooks were discontinued, so you won't find them at your local tire shop. There's a newer version, but it presumably wouldn't be an identical replacement.
That's my choice when it comes time to replace the Hankooks. Made in the USA now too!Nokian Outpost nAT
That's my dream tire, but I'm in New Hampshire. I did live in Miami for 11 years.
So many variables into what is the best tire and, after a zillion threads here and every car forum in the world, there is no single best tire for the Ford Ranger.
BUT ... there are a handful of really popular ones that many swear by.
Do a search and spend a few days reading many posts until you start coming up with what feels right for what you want.
I'm sticking with one day getting Nokias but, in the meanwhile, I'm happy with my snow chains!
Good luck! =)

We had some Nokians on a Corolla, not the Outposts, but an all-season tire. I was really impresed with their snow and wet road handling. We had used Michelins for years, and those are also great tires, but during this time, Kate was going through cancer (she's been in remission now for a few years). We had many, many early appointments during that time which meant a lot of early morning and evening driving to and from Boston. That's my choice when it comes time to replace the Hankooks. I put Nokian One tires on my sons car. I liked them. Good traction and wear. Nice quiet ride. I would have went with the Outpost on my truck but I couldn't find any in stock in the size I wanted. Probably because they were changing over to the Outpost NAT version so I went with the new Wildpeaks. We had some Nokians on a Corolla, not the Outposts, but an all-season tire. The Nokians gave me a lot of peace of mind driving in less than ideal conditions (including my personal stress worried about Kate).
That biases me, of course.
And, like you, I appreciate them being made in America.
Are you going with stock sizes? I'm on steelies and was thinking stock or maybe one size up, which would be an inch in diameter bigger and about a half inch wider.

It seems you drive mostly highway. I do as well. On my '19 Lariat 4x4 I am running Bridgestone Dueler Alenza HL's. They ride great, are quiet, handle in rain very well, and even work well in snow as I have experienced in the East TN mountains. I do some lite off-roading on our farm, and have never had an issue. They are worth considering if road travel is your main use.Have a 2021 Lariat 4x4 and my OEM Hankook A/T are wearing thin. What has been the best A/T in your experience? How have they done regarding noise/mpg?
I live in North FL and will be doing mostly city/highway with a lot of rain. Only occasional off-road and maybe some towing in the near future.
Still have the factory 18's and not looking to change at the moment. Thanks!
Those Wildpeaks are outstanding tires.I put Nokian One tires on my sons car. I liked them. Good traction and wear. Nice quiet ride. Bumping it up to 265 70 or 255 75. In the standard load.We had some Nokians on a Corolla, not the Outposts, but an all-season tire. I was really impresed with their snow and wet road handling. Me = BFG KO2's (could not wait for KO3's to hit local tire stores...)If you are going to mainly be on pavement, maybe just replace them with the factory Hankooks. If you want an upgrade quality wise, maybe something like a Michelin LTX (but get ready for sticker shock).
I personally think the BF Goodrich K02 (or K03 if they make them in your size) are the best AT tire, but way more than you need for largely highway with a little off road thrown in. Just my opinion, that and like 5 bucks will get you a Grande Latte...![]()
Michelin makes some really good tires. However, we just dumped the Michelin Primacy tires on our Explorer Limited for Dueler Ultra's. Major, major improvement in every way. The Primacy tires, @ 50k, were done... and we maintain like crazy.I chose Michelin Defender LTX M/S for my second set of tires and dumped the Bridgestone Duelers as seen here: https://youtu.be/QoBtK89Ks68
