I wanted to mount my shovel on the inside of the door but I could not afford the price of the Dirtbox Overland molle panels so I mocked up a bracket in AutoCAD and sent it to my 3D printer. We will see how it holds up.

On the above mentioned trip I found that the topper had slid forward and touched my cab. No damage but I wanted to make sure this could never happen again.
I bought some 1-1/2" aluminum angle from Home Depot and drilled some mounting holes and used some t-nuts I had leftover from a Xtrusion...
SmartCap wants $4400 for theirs and Dirtbox wants $4750 so there is not much price difference between the most popular and the what I bought. The advantages to Dirtbox are huge. It is very well sealed, no seams, and it comes prewired with power and lighting.

In preparation for the XO.SKLTN rack panels to arrive I installed a USB port behind my mirror for the rearview dashcam I will be installing. There is no windows for the topper so I will need to swap to a digital rear view and I thought this would be a convenient way to have power for the...

Yes Baofeng, my daughter plays with my radios and sometimes they don't come back from her friends homes so I need cheap radios.
After doing a mountain drive with a friend I can see the real need to update to something better, maybe even permanently mounted.
