I have a 2019 early production model, any issues to be aware of?

My 2019 with a production date of Jan. 2019 has been fairly problem free except that auto stop-start quit working and the transmission flares excessily from 2-3.

any issues to be aware of on early production models? I did install an engine cover which seems to be a good idea from what I've read so far.

Sounds like you may need a new battery. My auto stop start is the first thing the battery manager shuts down when battery gets low. Do a quick search of threads and I think you’ll find that subject thoroughly addressesed.

Trans issue might be the easy fix addressed in the bucking surging threads. Good luck.

If you have not already, look into picking up a transmission dipstick.

The transmission skips second and goes from 1st gear to third gear in the Ranger, so the RPM spike leaving 1st gear is normal. Auto start-stop not working may be a sign of a weak battery, so it would be worth having it tested.

Only thing to be aware of is the jealous owners of newer Rangers because you have all the deleted items. ;)

Welcome, David. Most things have been mentioned but some 2019's have HVAC blend door issues.

Mine is a January '19 baby too. 90k currently sitting on jack stands waiting for the new transmission to go in. ?‍?

Other then that, I have had the annoying HVAC door. It works, just makes noise.

Stereo overheats and disconnects android auto in the summer.

Stop /start I think did stop working for a while and didn't even notice, till I tried playing with the switch, then started working again. Kinda wish it didn't. Seems like it learned to do that. Now that I think about it, I think it started working again when I reset the transmission ?

No other issues ?

. . . battery . . .
On a serious note, I forgot about the battery. I have very low mileage on my 2019. Frequently, only the drivers door touch works and I get the shut down message. I replaced the battery once, but only one thing seems to help. I take it out on the highway at high speed for 3 to 4 hours and it's good for another few weeks. Total PIA. :(

If you don't drive much, it might help to put a battery maintainer on the battery. It is something most new vehicles suffer from, with all the parasitic drain of all the electronics.

it still doesn't have the ignition bezel, though

it was a good idea for me to install a maintainer. before I installed it, I got a lot of warnings from the truck about shutting things off. and fairly soon. now that I've been using it awhile, I don't need to use it nearly as often. that's a win in my book, because the maintainer was hella cheaper than a new battery.
