I can't find the spot where you put the clip nut to mount the dipstick tube. I have searched twice. Anybody in the Cleveland / Akron area install one of these? I'll come to you to show me where it is.

Did you check out the video. It shows it pretty clearly.

You should have this bracket. I have trying to determine the purpose of this unused bracket, but we are glad Ford gave it to us for this extra modification. It was clearly installed to mount something.

Could it possibly be Ford thought about giving us an easier way to check the Tranny Fluid but scratched the idea for cost. - HMM

That's a pretty substantial metal bracket...heavy duty something...let's see who's first to figure out what it was for?

Final got to go for an extended drive yesterday to get my transmission up to temp. Using my phone and Torque Pro, the highest I got on the highway was a stable 190 degrees. After I pulled off the highway it went up to 195 by the time I got to my driveway. It was 77 degrees out so I quess even with the stock pan there is some cooling do to air flow.

Anyway, checked the level. It's really tough to get a good read with the hot fluid being so thin. Best I can tell is I'm right about the 5 mark. So it looks like I could add a little to get it to the diamond between 4 and 5. Not as low as some but borderline.

Has anyone come up with a trick to get the level easier to read on the stick?

I have to drive for over an hour at 70mph for the temp to go over 200...the highest I've ever seen was 210...

I’ve gotten mine 210F plus twice using the same method. Sport mode and selective shift. Between 70 and 75mph on the highway in 6th gear will keep it at 4000 rpm ish. Also when off the highway I will select whatever gear keeps me around 4000 rpm. But a 15 mile round trip on the highway gets it up to 210F range easily. Using torque pro to verify temperatures.

This is EXACTLY my thought when I first saw that bracket. Ford cheaped out.

With the dipstick being shinny and the light color of the fluid - it is hard to see for some, it does take the right lighting.

some ideas - just spitballing here
Before the numbers are implemented on the stick - dull the surface some.
For those already made or installed, if it is hard to read even under low light conditions.
you might try using the other side of the stick , match the 4 mark - equally and using a small file - across the stick, scuff up the stick to create a spot for the fluid to stick to and make it easier to read.
Just a thought , I hate to recommend altering the stick in any way.
But for some it may just help.
I don’t have any issues reading mine, except in the bright sunlight, and just thinking of ideas to help those who have a hard time reading the stick.
Basically find a way to create a cross hatch surface , might help

Retired, work is a four letter word.
I just poured some black ink in with the oil, shows right up!! (warning, do NOT try this at home)
   Seriously, it is hard to see, does ULV glow under black light??

OK, I said that last as a joke, but I still have a hand UV light we used for finding blood stains, so for fun I tried it, and the dang ULV shows up well under UV!, who would have thought?
