My 2022 Tremor has had all 4 tires replaced under warranty due to high road force causing a vibration. The new ones also have a bad vibration on the highway, and have been rebalanced and still have some high road force. I'm wondering if this is something common? The truck has been hooked up to a vibration analyzer, and still comes back to the tires.

I didn't have a crazy vibration, but when I bought my 21 Tremor used, the Grabbers were very loud and did seem to ride a little rough but granted with ~27,000 miles. I replaced them with Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws and I was amazed at the difference in how much more quiet and smoother they were.

I will give the Grabbers the benefit of the doubt though, since I was never able to drive them with 0 miles.

I had one replaced under warranty for high road force. The others and the replacement all balanced out decent and have been good so far. How many miles on them?

21 Tremor stock with no issues or vibrations as of yet. Taken some 7 hour trips at all different speeds up to 90 & very smooth. Amazing ride so something isn’t right. Chiming in as I remember reading a couple people actually found out one of the OEM wheels was the issue when diff tires made no difference. I believe they tried dealers and tire shops before it was found to be bad wheel. Run mine 37-39 psi.

No issues here at 19k miles and change. I run them at 35 psi and one does have a lot more wheel weights on it compared to the other three.

I did think I had one out of balance in the front recently, however I also had a dealer rebuilt half shaft on that side as well. They replaced that half shaft with a new one because their rebuild was leaking at the inner boot. No more vibration at 75-80 now.

I didn't know Tremors came with Grabbers...I have General Grabbers X3 285/70-17 and they seem acceptable even at 80mph...a little noisy when there's no radio on but otherwise pretty good for mud terrain...

Seems unlikely you’ve had eight bad tires. I had issues with a car last year (not the Ranger) and the tire shop couldn’t get new tires balanced. Took it to the dealer and they were able to balance them, so maybe try another dealer for balancing. Otherwise, I think you’ve got something else going on.

Not a huge fan of that particular tire. Main issue I had with it was the lack of traction in the winter. Also the tire weighs quite a bit for it's class. The K02 is lighter in the same size and load rating. The Firestone Destination XT's Wich are load range E are lighter than General Grabber ATX in Load Range C......

Some times is comes down to how a manufacturer does the build

Over my 40+ years of owning 4x4 pickups I find All Terrain tires to be pretty poor in winter slop. The Grabber ATx tires that came on my Tremor have been the best AT tire for winter use I have had. My son had the previous generation Grabber AT on his Wrangler and I found them noisy. I was expecting the ATx tires to be the same but was pleasantly surprised that they were very quiet on the Tremor. I am just shy of 30k miles and still have half the tread, they are starting to get a little noiser but more than acceptable.

That being said when it is time for new tires I will go with a P-metric tire that is more focused towards the pavement. Something like a BFG Trail Terrain or Grabber APT.

A lot of It can also be the advanced traction control the Ranger has. I had a set on a 92 Pathfinder and they did not do well at all. Got a.set.of Firestone Destination XT's on the 93 Pathfinder and they do excellent(for an All Terrain). On the Ranger it was better, but the 93 Pathfinder doesn't have fancy traction control either

My first thought is psi. If you take your truck for regular routine maintenance, which it sounds like you have, then it’s possible your shop is running your psi too high. After my last ā€œthe worksā€ oil change at the dealership, they had all my tires set to something crazy high, 47 I think. I’m not sure if that could cause the problem you mention, but just something to consider if you don’t pay attention to tire pressure. I have Grabbers on my tremor, keep psi around 38-39, and have had no issues.

I drove the then-stock Hankooks on my 2019 for about ten thousand miles and then replaced them with the Wildpeak AT3s; I did not hate the Hankooks, but I love the Wildpeaks!

I bought a new car and it was having issues like this. It turned out the factory wheel was out of spec. The tire shop had a machine to check wheel runout for roundness and side runout. Never noticed on test drive, didn't get too carried away being in town. Maybe you could get on the highway and have a friend video on each side and look for poor wheel activity.

The dealer verified the tire shops findings and replaced the wheel. Problem solved.

Corporate drone. Dilbert's world is alive & well.
9900+ miles on my Tremor now, mostly highway, and the Generals have been great. Very smooth. Rotated them initially at 5K. Will rotate them again in the next week or two. As with any all terrain used on the road regular rotation is critical.

I'm so happy with them so far that barring any future tire issues when it's time to replace them I'll probably go right back with another set of Generals.

Good luck getting the vibration issue sorted out. That would be frustrating.
