How do you handle turns and braking?
Downshift a lot.
I have 12 miles of twisty rollercoaster cowpath roads before I hit the main highway to work every day. Hills and potholes everywhere. Not a level patch of ground longer than a quarter mile anywhere.

Looking to replace my tires as my grabbers have 72 k.
I was tempered to just get an all-season tire as I do no off road.
Then it hit me.
I averaged 23mpg on all terrain tires!
I want to get something cheaper and am thinking to go to my old replacement tire, the master craft courser atx

Ford dealer quoted me $1200 the generals
Local shop I use a lot for tires and repairs was under 1k for the MCs

I have 84K on my General and just started looking for replacements. I have found several General take offs on Market place for $600 a set so I think I'm going the route.

Grabber ATX have been amazing in my opinion. Great traction on snow and off road, great durability, and low noise. That being said I think the KO3 is a newer/better design, whereas the ATX is better than a KO2. I am leaning toward KO3s when my ATX finish wearing out at the end of the summer, before winter.

I changed out the ATX for 285/70/17 k02 at about 10k miles on the truck. Then around 40k miles put on a set of k03. The k02 were probably around 40% left, I just like replacing them early due to off-road and towing and I love the way new tires drive. I am at 60k miles so roughly 18-20k miles on the k03 and they are AMAZING!!!

All these tires did great off-road and Utah's soft Sand Hollow sand but the k03 are a huge improvement on-road. The most quiet of the 3, best wet road traction and even in light to moderate snow fall on our Utah trip. They are the heavy side but it just gives me more confidence off-road.

On my wife's 2016 Pilot we had Nitto Ridge Grapplers and Toyo AT3, we liked the AT3 enough to put them on her new 2023 Pilot too. I like the k03 so much I will consider them on the Pilot.

I have a theory about tires and have a hard time skimping on a good quality tire, simply because of the fact they are all that is in between you and the road. Now this is not to say I never have failures I had one of my Nittos I clipped a rock the wrong way and damaged a rear inside of a tire. What I will say is that said tire got me all the way from Palo Duro Canyon through Wolf Creek Pass and into New Mexico and back to Houston. Before it gave up the ghost and I know when I damaged the tire because I think about it every time I see my bent tailpipe.

I’m with you. Only thing between your @$$ and the road is four small patches of rubber. I never skimp on tires.

Boys, I’m loving these Falkens I bought!

Of course nothing wrong with the grabbers, 73,000 and averaged 23 mpg on them as I’ve said.

I'm a big fan of the Grabber ATX. Previously ran them on my previous F150. Plenty of grip on anything that wasn't deep mud including over Donner Pass and I got near 80k miles out of them (got rid of the truck before they had to be replaced).

Got a flat with the factory Hankooks and went with the Grabbers again. Still no complaints.

That's why I will probably keep buying the Michellins. So happy with them.

I'm going strong at 55k (that's w/ screwing them up a big w/ some cupping - cheapo spacers & no alignment - AMATEUR HOUR!!!)

Bastards last quite a while WHEN you have ulterior motives and want some type of rationale to go w/ larger wheels & tires! I want them GONE so I can upgrade wheels & tires to go larger.

Getting off topic below...

With the below parts and real life examples to go off, it's time for 33X12.5 R20 0 offset
  • High clearance crash bars
  • Ford Ranger Lifts 2" Tremor leveling kit
  • Taller rear blocks to match 2" additional height to the rear (apparently I'm the only one in the Ranger & Tremor world who LIKES the rake! No exaggeration; I'm on an island!!!! :)
  • Found that Bilstein makes EXCELLENT SHOCKS, putting the Tremor tuned Foxes to shame.
    • To ensure the travel for extra 2" on rear shock; Bilstein B8 5160s & used their nicelooking black clamp for reservoir
  • SIDE NOTE: I'll be adding AVS Lightshield Pro Wind Deflector and w/ the Amber Led lighting, it adds a visual effect to the very front of hood; making for a stronger look to the front end and I love the lights.
Just an opinion... I wanted AVS part for the slick look of lights, the overall effect should be great and a bonus!

Mine came with Grabbers. I've got 22k miles on the truck and they're about 75% used up. I never get good mileage out of tires or brakes. Fortunately,,, I got a replacement set back in July at 50% off. $200/tire after taxes and shipping. I need to get them mounted cuz I'm tired of them in my dining room.
