That was one of my concerns so at 30k I upgraded transmission cover to hold more fluid and better cooling while as the differential. I'm at 72k now and had the transmission maintenance at 65k all was good but I have heard of people not being so lucky. That's the price you pay when you start modifying any vehicle. But before you upgrade the turbo consider how you drive cause if you like 40 to 60 WOT or low speed desert runs then stock is perfect but if you like to ring it out to 80 or 100. Go with the upgrade turbo at WOT 80 to 100 hits like your going 40. Hope that helps with your decision cause other an the stage 4 turbo and e85 I have done and try everything for the ranger in upgrade some work but others just look nice.
Do you have part numbers for the transmission upgrades?

Also, how are the turbo sounds with the bigger turbo? I care about how the truck sounds too. Not a huge fan of the exhaust right now, sounds kinda dumpy. But if I could get some more turbo whistle going, that might balance it out.

Shame your thread went to shit about warranties when that was literally never in the first post to begin with... However I've been tossing around the idea of a Stage3/4 or a Pure600 turbo for my truck... It's FBO (intercooler, intake, dp, exhaust, etc) currently and tuned on full E85 but as awesome as the E85 is over 93 and even E50, The stock turbo still lays over up top... Guess I'm use to my 4cyls making 900+whp and revving 10,000rpm ?
I'm curious about the Pure600 setup - any info on that? Going to try and look around myself now.

Its a shame when people admit they would try to steal from dealerships that they ironically labeled "stealerships".

No one likes a thief, not even other thiefs.

I always return my truck to the stock tune when taking it in for maintenance (I bought a contract ahead of time for much less than it'd cost now), but I never hide the fact that I'm modded. They know about all of it.

If anyone is trying to lie to the dealership, then I agree, shame on them. It goes both ways.

The OP openly stated should something happen to his motor he would detune it and shop around till he got a dealership dumb enough to deceive.

I somehow missed that. Definitely not cool, in that case. I modded mine in the first 10k miles knowing full well I could run into an issue. My worst case is I'll save up and build the engine/transmission. Anyone who tunes a car, or replaces the turbo, should be prepared for that reality as well. If you can't afford to be without the truck, or the price of fixing it, you should put that money aside instead.

The upgrade turbo has more induction noise above 3k rpm and paired with intake you can really hear it build boost. What kind of exhaust are you running cause I'm currently running 3in turbo back with catted downpipe an muffler and is a nice balance between the two.

Here is the transmission cover upgrade I went with

2017-2023 F150 2019-2023 Ranger & 2021-2023 Bronco PPE HD Brushed Aluminum Transmission Pan (10R80 10-Speed Only) 328053210

Mods are in my signature, but basically full 3" with a high-flow cat.

Then it should be a nice balance of turbo induction noise and exhaust

It was a shame and just an unnecessary argument! lol A used Long block is only like $3000. lol
I have since installed the CRP 57mm turbo and getting street /dyno tuned starting this week! I askd OZ tuning about E85, but our fuel system won't keep up with the additional airflow. unless.....I want to shell out about $5000 for HPFP/LPFP, Injectors and lines. lol Then I would definitely need better built long block....

May just need to look more into the 5.0 conversion if I am spending all that money. lol

Yeah I’m out of HPFP right now it’s safe at it’s current level, but there isn’t anything left unless as add a HPFP which I’d rather go 5.0 at that point.

Someone link that thread with the thrown rod :)

I personally have no desire to run on the bleeding edge but can respect those who push boundaries. Good luck!
