Complete waste of money. As said previously, just buy an F150.
This is not the only solution. The trails I run in Colorado are too tight for a full size. I have plenty of pinstripes on my Ranger. It’s not always about towing.

Trails that tight are gonna ruin a Ford Ranger too. Get a Polaris Ranger. Most people, including myself, are not going to routinely run tight trails on a $40,000+ truck unless Daddy bought it for us and we don't mind selling it for next to nothing.

It'd be pretty stupid to buy a F150 based on a single feature of a 36 gal fuel tank, when a Ranger fits every other of your requirements.

Just got this update from Long Range America today.

-The Tank will be around 37gal, hopefully around the $2000 mark plus shipping and will be here end of the year in limited numbers.

-We will have a mailing list sign up, up and live soon where the tanks will be first come first serve once we finalize fitment.

Looking forward to getting the Ranger with a LRA tank under it again!
Carry a couple of Jerry cans in the bed. ??

This is something I have no reason at all to need, but weirdly want it.

Pretty far down the list of other random stuff I want.

Dipstick and trans pan are next. I can justify those to the wife.

Single piece driveshaft... ehh maybe.

This fuel tank.. she isn't dumb. I'll be in trouble for being dumb. My 2wd highway runner that hauls garden stuff doesn't get far enough away from a gas station to be close to an issue is good with the 18 gallon. It just feels small for a truck ...

yes most people in here are not going to go wheel the ranger they got but thats because of the demographic of people that own these trucks... those who want to go on long adventures and want to hit trails with a capable little truck will.

but saying to buy a sidexside or F-15useless (minus raptor but still not usefull on tight trails) is just dumb.... sidexsides are fun but not road legal so you will have to trailer the dumb thing... plus no offense to anyone that owns a sidexside but yall are the problem at every single offroad park/trail ive been on! but anyways lets add that up ya?
40+k for a truck
20k or more for a sidexside
2-7k for a trailer depending on what you want
plus a place to store all this not everyone does...

that seems a lot more then 2k for a gas tank lmao

now having a couple jerry cans in the truck is always a good old school option but if you dont want that and feel like 2k aint a bad price then you will buy this and go about your day. it all boils down to what people want.

Just get an full size truck is not the answer to everything. I tow regularly and all i here is you should get a full size truck. No, ranger does just fine. Besides my ranger can tow more than an f150*. We all have our "needs" and wants. We do what works, is cool, affordable, dont care for us.

Tow rating 3.3ltr, 4x2, regular cab, short wheelbase, 3.55 axle ratio, 5000lb max tow

You don't wanna buy a side by side, fine. Get some jerry cans and save some money. I still say the aftermarket large fuel tank is a waste of money, especially at resale. Oh, and side by sides being a trail problem? Trucks cause more problems: they block trails, and guess who has to wait a half hour or go around them off trail? Spending 3K plus on a big tank so you can spend more time wrecking your truck makes no sense to me.

The extra weight of the tank and fuel will reduce your tongue weight and tow capacity on the Ranger. The Ranger numbers are the same without the tow package so compare apples to apples.

lmao you dont wheel enough then if you think the trucks and jeeps are the problem its always the sidexsides going way to fast jumping stuff and causing accidents or being drunk out on trails they have been and will continue to be nothing but problems...

now can large groups of rigs cause massive slow downs? oh ya big time ive been stuck a lot of times at offroad parks because of what ever reason it is.

if it doesnt make sense to you then why bother in the first place and give dumb reasoning's lmao

That is a bit steep, I spent about $400 that took me to 32 gallons, can't see me needing something that expensive, but I'm sure some will find it effective
