  3. Sound Deadening Success

It did have the sticky back. Just carefully slide it in. The backing isn’t that sticky until you use some pressure to fully press it on. It’s easier than you think. Cheers
  4. Sound Deadening Success

I took the backing off and slid it between everything. I definitely creased the rear cab of the headliner a little while pulling it back, but after putting it back together you can’t notice it was creased at all. Most people in this thread are overthinking this. It’s a super easy mod. One of...
  5. 34x10.5 vs 285/75/17’s

I have Toyo at3 285/75r17 in load E and I will say that the ride is rough at slow speeds. I’d highly suggest sticking to C or D load with toyo. I’m actually getting the 285/75r17 in load C installed this weekend, will report back ride quality difference.
  6. 34x10.5 vs 285/75/17’s

Nice truck! I’ve been running the Toyo at3 285/75r17 for 50k miles now. I have the icon stage 5 lift. With it set to ~3.25” lift up front. I get the tiniest amount of rub going in reverse at some angles, but that’s it. Rear crash bars are still installed, fronts are removed with the stock...
  7. Sound Deadening Success

All in cost for the sound deadening and foam was like $70. I got the 9.8”x15.7” 34 piece pack of the sound deadening. That was enough for all 4 doors, the back wall, and the headliner. You only need to cover like 70-80% of the panel. After that it’s diminishing returns. After putting some of...
  8. Sound Deadening Success

Headliner was easy. You don’t take it all of the way off, just pull it down enough to slide the sheets in. If you did the rear cab wall, you were like 1/3 of the way done with the headliner already.
  9. Long Range America Tank

Any more details on this mod you have? What is it? Thanks!
  10. Anyone added additional headliner sound deadener?

Never had an issue in previous vehicles. I’m up in Washington state. Rarely gets above 90 here. I’d check the Amazon reviews to see if there’s any mention of that for hotter states.
  11. Sound Deadening Success

On the driver side only, I needed to take the molding behind the back seat off, unscrew the top of the seatbelts on the driver side, then just yank the appropriate moldings off. I pulled the roof liner down just enough to slide sound deadening pieces in there all across the roof. I guess I have...
  12. Sound Deadening Success

Unfortunately didn’t take any pics. But I’ve put sound deadening in 3 other cars and the ranger was the easiest by far. Doors come off super easy and go back together just as easily. The roof is straightforward too. There are several videos explaining how to on YouTube. i used learned from this...
  13. Anyone added additional headliner sound deadener?

Yeah, sorry! It’s super easy to do though. I’ve put sound deadening in 3 other cars and the ranger was the easiest by far. Doors come off super easy and go back together just as easily. The roof is straightforward too. There are several videos explaining how to. This is the sound deadening I...
  14. Anyone added additional headliner sound deadener?

Posted my finding on this topic in another thread (didn’t see this one). I have a 2019 Lariat. Huge difference after adding deadening material to the roof. https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/sound-deadening-success.25566/ TLDR: the rangers roof is a giant tin can and applying sound...

  18. Sound Deadening Success

About two months ago, I used the Amazon basics sound deadening on all four doors and behind the rear seat. Threw some egg carton foam behind the speakers too. This made a pretty big difference in speaker sound quality. Maybe only a semi-noticeable difference in road noise reduction. Well, this...
