I don’t know anything about fuel additives or octane boosters but they sound nice ?. Maybe @AzScorpion will drop some knowledge of them on me. I’ve given up on restraining myself from buying all the stuff you guys peddle on here lmao. I should drop this forum like a bad habit but then what else would I do in my spare time when I’m not fishing ? So while we’re at it are there any other upgrades I need? Just tell me now so I can add them to my ever growing list. Its length is directly proportional to how much damn time I spend on here.
I was going to say the Fuel Injector Pro. I bought several bottles the last time and didn't realize it's been discontinued. I just send the guy I know there an email to see why and if it was replaced with something else. It might not have been a big seller and the just discontinued it because of sales. Good thing I have 6 more bottles left in the garage. ? Those too might become a collectors item??Stick to experimenting with 93 and also lesser octanes. It's quite a price jump from 87 to 93. As far as additives, I don't think an octane booster can do very much, it's such a small amount in a bottle. For cleaners, I do think they help.
I can't point to a quantifiable answer, but I've run synthetic oil in my FJ40 since 1978 and the return leg of a trip from Galveston to Ottawa (2,000 miles each way), the engine I freshly overhauled had each of compression ring break into two to 6 pieces. A few of the pieces tore through the aluminum cylinder and beat themselves into the top of the piston. Talk about a scary sound!
Well, I continued home (about 1,000 miles after that noise) and yanked the engine back out. I expected to see the cylinder sleeves all scratched up. But nothing ... a light honing, the right size compression rings and new pistons, and it ran another 20 years. That's when I discovered the '72 had a '69 engine!
The point? I always felt that Mobil 1 helped and that's how also feel about fuel cleaners.
Anybody here ever used to add Marvel Mystery Oil in their engine and gas? Old school!
I have a bottle out in the garage but can't bring myself to put it in the Ranger. I know zippo about fuel injection ...

The Fuel Injector Pro isn't clear, it's empty and I cut off the bottoms for capless filler funnels. Bah, it's also discontinued on their site. Sheesh, something I use monthly in both our cars. I'm sorry @AzScorpion, I guess that will cut into your Disney cruise budget a little ... =(
104+® Octane Boost
We also use their windshield Alla-Selzer tablets and mix them into our normal windshield washer fluid (it would freeze solid otherwise).
303® Instant Windshield Washer Tablets
In the FJ40, I use 104+® Max Octane Boost and Lead Substitute since it's an engine that needs lead to lube the valves.
And these are also the folks that sell Graphene, but that's really getting off target.
I did a little Googling and decided to go with this. Plus I wanna make sure you get your cut of the profits:I was going to say the Fuel Injector Pro. I just heard back and it was because of poor sales. But it looks like you bought the replacement product which is good too.I did a little Googling and decided to go with this. Plus I wanna make sure you get your cut of the profits:

HI David!
Yes, it was discontinued. I am not sure why but I suspect poor sales.
The next best product to use for cleaning and performance would be the STA-BL 360 Protection. It has a PEA cleaner.
Hope that helps!
So been thinking on this; hear me out…so maybe running premium gas will benefit all us Ranger owners due to having a better quality gas in our oil ?I just heard back and it was because of poor sales. But it looks like you bought the replacement product which is good too.
Ohhhh....You had to got there didn't you?So been thinking in this; hear me out…so maybe running premium gas will benefit all us Ranger owners due to having a better quality gas in our oil ?
Food for thought

Well we can make this thread about whatever we want. This what you were after? ?For some reason I read the title "living the thigh life".
I am so disappointed this thread is not about either chicken nor thicc girls.
