A 1998, 2.5L XLT 5-Speed 2WD Ford Ranger.
An unbeatable, timeless combination of engine at the front, proper manual gearbox in the middle, and power to the back.
Only running a KN CAI, and Magnaflow exhaust. Inside there’s an absurdly powerful stereo with Kenwood double din radio, Kenwood door/panel speakers throughout, and a Rockford Fosgate double base cabinet powered by a Boss amp.
It doesn’t pull like our new gens but when the perfect song hits and you nail that downshift it hits you in all the right places just the same.
When I got my new Ranger this one was formally retired from DD use and now sits clean and polished at all times under a cover, maybe logging 20 miles a month max.
Hope y’all enjoy a little nostalgia!
