You would think that Ranger sales would bevon the big rise because of the selling price of the F150 at $20K more... That was my primary reason besides reading up on this forum on how fun the truck is to drive and upgrade....Let's call it what it is though....
We're becoming an afterthought. There's no advertising, the truck is gonna come side by side with Bronco, and they're gonna have more Bronco orders than they can produce. (At least to start) Ranger is going to end up as a "Lifestyle" or adventure truck. Small urban fleet vehicles will still be Transit Connect and now Maverick. Those customers just wont buy a truck that's too big to be small and too small to be big. I would say that Ford "needs" to jump into the "lifestyle" advertising like Toyota is doing with Tacoma, but I'm not sure that "need" is an accurate term here. I feel that at best, Ford just needs to keep their feet wet in this area so when the Bronco sensibility fades, they're still in the game.
The fact that Ranger is (in my opinion) just a better truck, is not going to make it any more relevant.
We're just not gonna see more until they make more.
