I ordered a black with beige stitching a few weeks ago but got a message it's like a month out as its made in Poland.. Had I known I wouldn't have bothered.

I ordered/received this Redline Leather Boot months ago.
I've never had much luck messing with trim stuff in a vehicle; I usually break a tab or clip or some darned thing.
But, after reading all the tips, suggestions, and advice in this thread, I finally got up enough nerve to give the install a go.
And you folks were right! It went without a hitch. I didn't break anything!

I just wanted to say thanks to all that posted the good info in this thread.

Got mine in, only thing that bugs me is when the brake lever is down, you can see the outline of this plastic piece... dont know what i could have done differently. over all i like it.

I got mine replaced under warranty, had to wait a couple months due to back order. My advisor and I were talking about it. He said the new boot has a different lining on the underside than the original boot, which matches the lining on the shift boot. We agreed most likely bad batch of pleather used for the boots. Which seems as of late that suppliers are really letting the quality checks slip.

And overall Ranger production numbers aren't high thanks to the Rona and chip shortage either. 3-4 years of production/sales haven't matched one single year for the F150. Figure that sales expectations were 200,000 to 250,000 due to it's actually popular than the GM twins. Add it up most likely the batch purchased for the boot ended up lasting through all years instead of one and with back order. Ford realized they were bad told the supplier who made the fix. So most new Rangers now most likely have a better boot.

There was a change at some point during the run as my first warranty replacement boot was a different material than the original factory boot.

Different material but same crappy quality. It failed in the same place in about the same period of time.

Got it replaced under warranty a second time and it was exactly like the one that just failed.

When I saw that it was the SOS and was going to follow the same path to failure, I ordered the Redline boot.

If I knew then what I know now I would've just ordered it when the first one cracked.

So far mine is holding up and it was done last month. I had noticed about 2 months in from when I purchased the Ranger it started cracking. I do use my parking brake as it's habit from work and driving manual transmissions.
