yes we in the USA are the beneficiaries of legislation such as the Inflation Reduction Act to fix things like increased prices of oil filters - along with $30 + trillion of national debt , try to match that , oh Canada !

Meh, it's a number without meaning. You hold the reserve currency and have the largest, most powerful military in the world. You'll never have to pay that debt back. The global economy is going to collapse when the USA dollar does, then the great reset will happen and voila, no more debt, lol.

You mean the Walmart in the Ala Moana district, Waikiki is adjacent to it. I am always surprised at certain "Wallyworld" patrons when I go there, which is, as little as possible.

There's lot to do on Oahu, like anywhere else, it depends on what you'd like to do or see...

Quite frankly, I'd much prefer to sip a frosty one pool or beach side watching the stuffed bikinis saunter by than shoveling snow and freezing my okole off in January somewhere else... ?

you are right about Ala Moana. that was years ago and memory ? and ya If I ever moved back it would be to Oahu. I loved that place, but I'll take no mortgage and $3.44 gallon of gas and $100 electric bill and LARGE yard and road trips farther than cross island(even though that takes all day)and on and on

85 everyday gets boring! I never knew how much I liked the snow and change of seasons until it didn't.

I’ll have to disagree. I once owned a business and many discussions were had over what we should charge for shipping. You would be amazed just by adding $5 bucks a package over base rates how much it adds up to over a months time. Especially when you’re shipping a 100 or more packages a day. A company their size and 10’s of thousands of packages over a month definitely adds up to huge sums. So one customer with 3 different locations charging shipping for one order is hitting the lottery. This transpires into hitting every day of the year! Remember now they most likely have contracts with all delivery services for volume discounts. So what you or I would pay for shipping and what they pay are significantly different.

When I lived there there were no big box stores or any major chain stores that I recall. There may have been a west coast dept store in ala moana. We did as much shopping as we could on base.

I'm afraid some of our leaders want to turn the military into a giant social experiment. Instead of training to fight china our troops are learning about using the proper pronouns and doing stand downs to weed out "extremists" (anyone that doesn't swallow the woke bs). China has surpassed our numbers but I'm confident our stuff will actually perform as designed in combat, not sure about their stolen tech copies.

Several South American countries are banding together to create a world wide stable dollar. China and Russia an Iran are trying to dethrone the dollar as the reserve currency. China spreads money around poor countries an controls their votes on the U.N. They have eyes on replacing the dollar too. Printing and borrowing continues to weaken the dollar. Our own government has eyes on replacing our dollars with a digital currency so they have total control over how it's spent an can cut you off if you fall out of favor with big government. They also want to see where every cent comes from so they can make sure it was taxed when earned. I hope all this is just crazy thoughts of people trying to prevent a worse case situation. Nip it before it can happen.

I am cautious where I buy "Motorcraft" parts from as well, but feel pretty confident with Rock auto. Fingers crossed the case I bought was not counterfeit. I'll be doing my first oil change using that case in the next week, hopefully they fit/work as advertised.

Amazon is riddled with counterfeit parts, all of them well known and trusted automotive aftermarket brands....

I don't doubt eBay is just as bad...

Have not had any issues with RockAuto, not yet at least...however their shipping rates to Hawaii give me pause.

If you only buy products sold by Amazon, on Amazon, you won't have to worry. It's the 3rd party stuff where it gets iffy.

Not true, I ordered a set of NGK Iridium spark plugs for my beater CRV several years ago, the seller was Amazon.com.

When they arrived and I was ready to install them 2 of the 4 plugs had paper sleeves to protect the threaded end while the other 2 had the correct plastic sleeves. Close examination of the paper sleeved plugs revealed the ground electrode to be much thinner and less substantial than the others, they were indeed counterfeits.

While it's entirely possible that the 2 plugs were switched out somewhere along the line, the fact remains that the seller was Amazon.com and not a 3rd. party seller.

Amazon refunded me the entire purchase price for all 4 plugs and told me to keep them.

I've replaced hundreds of NGK plugs in the past, they all had plastic sleeves...I used to wrench at a Lincoln/Mercury-Honda dealership for 13.5 years.
