Was taking some crap to the dump the other week, was weighed in at 2900 kg going in (I had a fair amount of crap in the back) the "empty" going out was 2400 kg but I have a full ARB steel bull bar - probably worth 70 Kg on its own, and an ARB Summit Canopy also probably good for about another 100 kg, plus my fat arse another 110 kg, fuel tank was probably about 3/4 full so about another 50 kg of diesel.

Australia went metric way back in the early seventies. I grew up with Lb and miles and inches but once you've gone over after the temporary pain, it is a waaay better system. I also work in med science which has always been metric in this country. We have 10 digits and toes, whoever dreamed up the imperial system must have been a mutant.

Whats weird is that i was in the army. Road marches, patrols, shooting distance all in metric. So i know what humping 5 kilometers in the woods at night is........but jave no idea how many kilometers from one town to the other! Still use miles.
