I'm planning on buying a Ranger with 78,000 miles on it later this week, which has me wondering-

Who here has put a lot of miles on their Ranger? Has anyone put more than 100,000 miles on it? 150k? if so, has it performed at high mileage just as it did when it was new? Or do you have any regrets due to reliability?

Thanks.

Hi Ernie,

Ford Trucks are tested to 150000 miles for a 90 percentile customer.

IIRC @Msfitoy has the highest mileage which now has to be very close to 70K. We all feel sorry for him because he's homeless and lives in it so we don't question how he has all those miles in just 2 years.

Yeah, I'm pretty comfortable with the mileage. I posted on another thread that I am actually changing direction and I found another Ranger with 54k miles, so slightly less wear and tear. I typically like to keep my cars for a long time (my Odyssey has 150k, my GMC truck has 190k, I recently got rid of my Durango at 170k). If it proves to be reliable, I plan to keep this one for a while.

Hi Ernie,

You are not a 90 percentile customer... Mining operations, Oil field support, Los Angeles local delivery are in the 90 percentile... Most Ranger owners can expect longer mileage.
