Anyone weigh their Ranger?

Been wondering why our global build units seem slightly heaver than yours, after all they're not that different, and of course it just hit me - so obvious I initially didn't even consider it.

The Ecoboost 2.3 is an all alloy i4 engine.
Our diesels have cast iron blocks. And a 3.2 i5 is of course a bigger engine physically.
I assume even the 2.2 i4 version of the same engine would still be quite a bit heavier.

That's why generally diesels have a lower payload and often lower towing than the exact same truck with a gasoline engine. That heavy engine on the same frame and axles eats up capacity.
