Hey guys, I am in a pickle and any advice will be extremely appreciated.

I got my new 2022 tremor a few days ago, I bought deezee brackets for my Rigid Pro ditch lights. After installing the light, my windshield wipers were hitting the bracket.

I did move the brackets as far as I could away but still hitting them hard enough where flakes of steel are visble on my hood. Is it possible that my wipers need to be adjusted? I contacted DeeZee and they said it's definitely not the bracket. Just leaves in me in a odd situation. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful, thanks you!!

P.S if anyone Is using the same lights as me please let me know what brackets ur using!

Ouch - that doesn’t seem right. I don’t have ditch lights (yet) but is it possible there’s a left-side, right-side issue or could the bracket be flipped inside out?

Don’t mean to question your skills, just trying to help.

At least they look good!

I’ve got the same lights from Ford Performance but used the brackets they came with and had slight wiper contact at first. I had to loosen the bolts on the hood where the bracket attaches and move it outboard out of the way of the wiper. If you can’t move them any more I’d suspect the brackets aren’t right.

I have the same Rigid pod on my ditch mount but it appears that your bracket is facing rearwards...mine hooks forward...what brand is yours?

Hi Tyler,

I rarely comment on MODs like this, but it seems you are the first to experience this since the Ranger in 2019... Might you have the brackets reversed right to left it they are handed... It appears to be an install issue as I do not recall this problem prior to your post, but I may be wrong.

best,
Phil

Yes I’ve never seen one of these brackets point backward toward the windshield. I had believed they all point forward. Do NOT mess with or place the blame on your wipers, this is an aftermarket product design or instillation flaw.

I also would recommend checking to see if they are in the right position (Driver vs Passenger side) but I would also consider removing the light from the bracket and checking for clearance on the Deezee bracket alone.

You might get the clearance you need by putting washers/spacers between the Deezee bracket and your light's bracket.

Just a follow up this morning. The Dee Zee brackets are not offset at all to the sides as much as other brackets. Here are the Dee Zee brackets for the Rangers:

Dee Zee Brackets.webp

The ones I have that are not yet installed from Diode Dynamics are offset to the sides after they protrude from the rear of the hood. That in turn might be a little better design for more clearance. See below:

DD2 Brackets.webp

Dee Zee makes some great products; however, their brackets might be a bight tight, and IMHO should be offset a bit to accommodate different lights and stay away from the wiper arm. Let us know what you do to resolve this issue please!
Thanks and good luck!

It's a good thing @AzScorpion is on vacation. We wouldn't want him to see anybody taking the name of our lord and savior, the great DeeZee, in vain ?
