A shipment of bare root saplings* came so I loaded them up to ranger and headed to forest. Was bit soft and wet so had to even engage 4WD to get there.

When in forest I planted ~50 trees over there to random locations. One of them was even a native tree in Finland, can you spot which one?

Trees planted:
- Fagus sylvatica
- Castanea sativa
- Populus nigra
- Ginkgo biloba
- Liriodendron tulipifera
- Corylus colurna
- Morus alba
- Ulmus glabra

Let's see if anyone survives. Prolly not.

* = Um.. can you call 2 meter tree a sapling?!

Friday I loaded my Cub Cadet lawn tractor on my trailer and hauled it to the dealer for some service. Normally I do service myself, but the PTO had an intermittent wiring problem, so off it went. While there, I had them do all the filters, new plugs and oil. I picked it up yesterday, and once again, no photos, lol. I thought about getting photos before I even started, but once I get going, I forget and finish before I actually get them.

Yesterday afternoon my new rim arrived, so this morning I dropped it off with the old rim and tire for the swap. He laughed at me when I walked in, said he's in appointment mode this time of year. I told him it was loose in the box. I'll drop it off, no rush I'll pick it up tomorrow or whenever.

Had some precious cargo work too. Trixie to the vet for her 12 week shots and inspection. She is as perfect as she is cute :)

Went on a mini road-trip today, and got stopped by some dude who was mugg’n the Ranger. Had never seen one before up close and he was stoked about the look of the thing. Two times this week I was asked about some of my mod’s, so that put a smile on my face. Summer hasn’t even begun, I’m expecting more of that.

You should've lowered your tailgate and gave him the full show. Then he would've really been impressed!?

Just bought this Thule Swing Bike rack, had to get an extender on the hitch so I could open the tailgate, but we had a nice family ride down at the Coastal Trail. After a long winter in Alaska, it was very nice to enjoy the sun.

Did you move from IA to SoCal ? Granger is not far from where I live.
Rob, Rob, Rob, Rob, Rob.

Originally, the movie, Field of Dreams wasn’t about a baseball diamond in Iowa. It was about Granger Ford. They had to change the underlying theme to make it at least a little bit believable.

Just ask the ranger5g members on here who travel thousands of mile to take delivery of their trucks there. It’s a thing.

It’s true, if you build it…they will come.

Hi Folks,

Today my Ranger and I traveled to an emergency at my good friend and neighbor's house to help with a plugged kitchen sink plumbing. Neighbor just had a Kidney and Ureater (tube between kidney and bladder) removed due to cancer diagnosis. Wife was distraught to have to deal with a plumbing problem. So it became a long involved process to dismantle the sink drain and clean out the crap that had accumulated in the dowstream of the trap.. Ranger and I had to chase back to the house for additional tools and back down to their house. Guy is one hurtin' puppy from post op pain... Told him to not worry...Now have a garbage disposal replacement as it had given up the ghost to cause the problem...

Anyway....Ranger gets a rest tomorrow as Wifelet and I are headed for Tubac Golf Resort restaurant for an upscale meal. I will even wear one of my Bolo string ties I make out of turquoise and mesquite...

Wow, wow, wow!

Drove it over 2,300 miles over the past week, going down to GA/SC. Not bad considering it only had 1k on its recent 1 year anniversary.

I haven't calculated my MPG's yet, but it was over 20 loaded with 2 adults, a small dog and around 200lbs of stuff in the bed. I was surprised that I didn't see any water leaking into the bed through my BakFlip MX4 tonneau cover. I drove through some pretty heavy rain for hours and only saw a little water that came through the tailgate. Overall, it was very comfortable and extremely sure footed driving through any terrain. I was also happy to see so many fellow Ranger owners down south. I rarely see any around here.

Hehe…that is excellent ? A few years ago I relocated my family from SoCal to Iowa and have never looked back. For us, it really is Heaven.
