A farmer friend said switch grass was better to make ethanol with but he grows corn because the government subsidies it.

Yeah the article I read said something like 2000 out of a couple hundred thousand stations sell it, though my number is probably off it is in the 2 to 3 thousand rangeI don't know how common E15 is nationwide, but it's so rare here in NC that I have yet to see it - I'm not looking or it anyway so that could be the reason. The Sheetz convenience store chain (newcomers out of Pennsylvania) carries E15 and advertises it as a 'high performance fuel'.
No Sheetz close to me and they can keep their 'high performance fuel'. No doubt some people will fall for the nonsense. Buc-ee's out of Texas is starting to make their presence known in the region - they advertise E0 motor fuels. Wondering when we'll see one...

I've been using E10 in my lawn mower, snow blower and pressure washer for 10 years. I just shut the gas off and let them run out what's in their lines before storing for the offseason. Never added a stabilizer, but I do try and siphon out what I can from the tank. I have never had any issues with them not starting the next time. Granted, my equipment is all from 2010+, so maybe it was an issue prior to then.
This thread is turning into the same shit as the threads about premium vs. regular. There will never be a shared view, just a bunch of whining, and eventually name calling. If you feel strongly that E15 will harm your engine, don't use it. If you believe that everyone is out to get you, don't use it. If you trust the engineers that tested and approved it for use in our Rangers, then don't sweat it. Life is too short...
I agree but it kind of sounds like they want to replace the current regular E10 with E15. If it stays an option that's fine, if they make all grades E15 to reduce prices across the board that is what a lot of people don't want. Many people in this country are trying to eliminate as many choices as possible an force you to their preferred product/policy.. If you feel strongly that E15 will harm your engine, don't use it
With the drop in milage, where are the savings???Cripple our energy industry to steer us to electric for the environment. So this...
"The Environmental Protection Agency will issue an emergency waiver to allow widespread sale of 15% ethanol blend that is usually prohibited between June 1 and Sept. 15 because of concerns that it adds to smog in high temperatures."
None, plus E15 creates extra smog. How stupid is that? With the drop in milage, where are the savings???
Calm down and read the EPA mandated label displayed on every pump in the US that dispenses E-15:I agree but it kind of sounds like they want to replace the current regular E10 with E15.
