Its been said on here that wire has more info than just the ASS , but others have reported no issues... This would be my LEAST favorite method and still wouldn't do it...
I haven't had an issue as of yet,but that is good to know. Will have to research this.

The day may come soon when all pumps display thousands in the price. At truck stops: a 200 gallon fill at $4.999 = $999.80
Back in '09 when gas was $4.25 or more we went to the NASCAR race in Charlotte in my bud's motorhome. The pumps shut off when you hit $75 and you had to stop and reset it and put your card in again. We had to do that three times to fill the tank.

I just used it for the first time this last tank and I got 1 mpg more....I don't know how scientific it was but I never used it before since I bought the truck in Oct 2021 and just thought "what the heck" to see if it made that big of a difference.....I still drive the same.....jack rabbit starts....wide open throttle all the time......flooring it getting on the freeway......cruising at 85 mph whenever possible......a/c on 24/7......and I went from about 14 mpg to 15 mpg.....I always use 91 octane cuz I have the Ford Performance tune.......but I didn't buy it for the gas milage!!....it gets the same as my previous taco and I use it for "work" so it's a write off......no reason to use it unless you want to add 1 or maybe 2 mpg......for me, I don't care......I'll still drive the same even if gas hits $10 a gallon!......live is too short to drive like an old lady.......Shake and bake baby!....if you aint first, you're last!....??
Now you see me ????? now you don’t. ?

Yup, CA

I noticed there's no place for the #1 in the picture I provided if it hits $10.00

I bet people will panic just like those back in 1999 thinking the computers will crash when it hits 1/1/2000 ?
Easy enough to recalibrate to $ per qt - you won’t be able to quickly do the math in your head and you’ll be thinking you‘re getting a great deal.

For the benefit of those that aren't familiar with semi tractors, just because the capacity is 2-300 gallons, doesn't mean it is filled all the way every time. Axle weights come into play, and depending on whether the fuel tanks are mounted closer to the front axle or the rear axle(s), the weight on either can be over the legal limit for the road you're on, depending on the weight and distribution of the freight over all the axles. 300 gallons is a literal ton of diesel; I used 7lb/gal as a guide for fuel weight. Then there's ~20 gal of DEF, an APU, PTO hydraulics...
i load it and go, not screwing around stoping every 2 hours for fuel. 240 fuel/60 hydro on the truck and 50 fuel on the trailer, 5.6 mpg last quarter

and after going through 3 starters in 3 years on my reefer I leave that running too if it starts much more then every 40-60 minutes.

I'm fly. I'm pilot.
My auto start stop is permanently shut off by forscan and I will not be turning it back on. It would only benefit slightly if you lived in LA maybe and we’re stuck in traffic jams all day long. I do have a tremor that gets even worse than the regular Ranger and have thought about buying some kind of a small car to drive in the summer
LA traffic jams rarely stop. They're mostly just going slow. The only times I ever saw it come to a complete stop was when the police would stop traffic due to an accident ahead, or dangerous debris in the road that they want to clear. My Hybrid F150 excels in these conditions. ASS would do nothing.

Except that Biden has been releasing oil from the reserve not for US consumption, but to send it to the far east! Go Figure that one out!

One more general point... everyone is talking about starters wearing out and I agree, but probably more important is engine wear. Most engine wear occurs at startup. I have tuned off ASS.
I think a Cold startup is worse for engine wear than a warm engine been running start up..

Oil being warm - check

Oil hasn't had time to drain down to the pan - check (even the book says wait 15min to check the level)

Oil pressure is easier to get back to normal due to it being warm - check

You are correct, but I am sure someone will have some story about how a Nissan pulsar that broke down because of a warm start so they are bad for sure.

Not to long ago people were bragging about their performance "tunes", suspension mods, large and heavy tires, ASS delete, etc.
What you say now. The so called fun stuff is not so fun anymore. Are you going to sell your gas guzzler and get a little car? LOL
I returned to the stock tune... didn't like it. Went to the 87 performance tune... wasn't enough. I put the 93 performance tune back in. The price difference isn't really that much.

ASS is still disabled. Exit only.

If you really want to save gas, slow accelerations from stops is 1,000% more effective than the SS function. You can add 5+ mpg doing that.

My SS was originally deactivate via nightlight but then I used Forscan and don't plan on turning it back on until I decide to trade/sell the truck and give the next owner that option - or they pry my cold dead hands from the steering wheel - whichever comes first.

I filled up recently and slowly accelerated on the way home and hit 21+ mpg on the way home - short 5 mile drive, usually I'm in the 17mpg range.

Im just now close to 1000 miles , still dont care about gas prices or gas miliage as this is still "entertainment" for me and I can justify the dollars... Maybe later , maybe...
