Someone on here suggested plugging something into the 110 outlet in the rear of the console, I plugged in a charger for my Dewalt battery, It worked! didn't even have to have a battery in it, the truck no longer shuts off at every traffic light, so annoying when driving in town. Thanks to who ever suggested this.So my first mod will be to figure out a way to disable the engine start/stop. I realize there is a button. But it will become annoying to remember to push it every single time I start it. Is there a way to permanently disabling it?
Just plus in a cheap LED nightlight and it'll disable it. Been doing that for over 2 years now and no more A/S/S.Someone on here suggested plugging something into the 110 outlet in the rear of the console, I plugged in a charger for my Dewalt battery, It worked! didn't even have to have a battery in it, the truck no longer shuts off at every traffic light, so annoying when driving in town. That post was from 2 years ago. Solutions have been found since then. FORScan is the best solution for it. Don't have to buy anything. And there is no need to plug something in your vehicles; having it take up a outlet and possibly break/short and starting a fire. Not worth the risk of it shorting.Someone on here suggested plugging something into the 110 outlet in the rear of the console, I plugged in a charger for my Dewalt battery, It worked! didn't even have to have a battery in it, the truck no longer shuts off at every traffic light, so annoying when driving in town. All I needed was a $30 cable from amazon and I paid the $10 for forscan.Forscan still cost money to buy the ODB reader and the A/S/S Eliminator is $100. The cheapest and easiest way is just plug something cheap like a LED $3 nightlight into it and be done with it. The outlet goes dead after 20 minutes so there's slim chance of anything catching on fire. ?
The Auto Start-Stop Eliminator is a gadget that goes in series with harness that connects to the switch. It remembers the last position the switch was in on each restart. So if you turn off auto start it will stay off until you turn it back on.This has probably been mentioned, but you should check out forscan. You can tweak a host of other options too, like tire size. Although the other day (my auto start is disabled) I was driving through a really congested area, while idling I couldn't help but notice the mpg numbers going down so now I'm wondering if I want to turn it back on. A Toggle that you didn't need to engage every time you start the truck would be ideal.
This is exactly what I did. I'm surprised this isn't a popular solution. At least that's how it seems to me.Just plus in a cheap LED nightlight and it'll disable it. Been doing that for over 2 years now and no more A/S/S.

Me too. Plus you can use the money you saved to buy more mods. ??This is exactly what I did. I'm surprised this isn't a popular solution. At least that's how it seems to me.
So you are confirming that you found this setting and was able to change it with Forscan? If yes, which module is it located and what are the changes you made? I have another friend who wants to do this.Forscan
