I just ordered some (4) of these to plug into an LED 110v USB charger. The charger has LED lights and I'll plug the little USB light into it.....just hope it's enough to kill the ASS. I'm pretty sure you need to use the 110 outlet to affect the ASS, not the USB slots

Thanks Mike...interested in hearing any updates.

I have trained myself to turn it off right after fastening my seat belt. Not the best scenario, but it's working so far.
I did the same thing. As soon as I start the engine, my left hand cranks the lights fully around to automatic, and my right hand pushes the disable button. Once you get in the habit, you don't have to think about it any more, it always gets done and doesn't cost a cent. (I still forget to fasten the seat belt, but there is a "nanny" noise for that....)

I tried a USB charger with a single LED and it wasn't enough.

Had a fairly dim LED nightlight laying around that seems to be doing the trick. I covered the surface with electrical tape and left a very small area open so I can see it's on.

Why cranking the lights to automatic? You can leave it there.... Is there an issue you are avoiding?

I am embarrassed to say that I did not know about that feature. I always assumed that they had to be manually turned off when turning the motor off, and back on when starting it up. Since you mentioned it, I checked this topic on one of the Ford videos, and sure enough, I can just park it in automatic and never have to think about it again! (Too bad Auto Start/Stop does not have such a feature!) Thanks for pointing this out! Happy Trails!

Wait, if we unplug that, it'll disable ASS? What else does that plug do?

Disables Battery Management system meaning your alternator will basically function like an old school system engaged full time keeping voltage up. This is how it was explained to me by one of our techs. I mean it is up to you to do it. I ran my F150 like this for a year before I got a SCT Tuner.

Wait a minute here! Sure, I'd like to easily deactivate the ASS. But this would have an even more important benefit to me. My concern is with charging the travel trailer battery while driving. As I understand it, the stock Ranger battery management system will not charge the trailer battery so I am considering a DC-DC charger to make that happen. If this allows the truck to charge the trailer battery, its a game-changer to me. Is that possible?
Sorry for sort of hijacking this thread, but I'm giddy.
