I don't know if its the snow, but the truck looks awesome :like: 1) Did you do the pinstripes or did it come from dealer that way? 2) What bed cover you using, and how is it holding up in the snow? Lookin' good
I pinstriped it for fun a couple weeks ago. Haven’t decided if I should keep or not. Current bed cover is the Mostplus hard tri-fold. Got it free from a buddy. I ordered the rough country hard cover and it will be here in a few weeks. The Mostplus is a great cheap cover! Snow hasn’t effected it. Thanks!

Those who installed lower grill guard as this blocks it off, what do you do to access block heater cord?

I’ve got mine running out through the passenger side tow hook area. I pulled the rubber seal thing opening wider and pulled the plug through. Seems to be working out ok so far. You can push it back in or pull it out as needed.

Had a lumber/canoe/whatever rack that's compatible with my softopper built and installed. Tig welded, bolts to the softopper mounting rails, middle and rear crossbars removable so I can still fold the topper and carry tall things in the bed.

Thanks to Mirek and Apex Precision Fab in Nelson!

my garage looks like a war zone. Got the winch plate mounted with the winch. The control box had to be moved and that involved unwiring and rewiring everything. Pain in the butt. But we’re on the right track and I think we’re more than 1/2 done. It takes a lot of time.

Getting my front windows tinted today but had my 1st compliment yesterday at Costco parking lot. Chevy Colorado ZR2 owner walked up to me and asked me if he could check out my truck ..he really liked it and didn't know about the Tremor package. He had me open the bonnet to check out the engine...he was really impressed especially when I told him I'm averaging 21.5mpg (he has the V6 and gets around 17mpg). He had custom lights and light bar on his truck so definitely one of those "truck-guys".

We talked about off-roading/mods etc for another 20 mins...nice guy....it was good to just have a nice conversation with randoms in public.

Little repair today. Recently I got too close to a stump or rock don't know actually. I just discovered a nice upwards dent in the underside of the bed in front of the rear bumper. Thankfully it didn't go beyond the OEM rockguard "textured" area at the bottom.
This morning I took a hammer and dolly and massaged it back as close as I could. I didn't want to go to the trouble of using body filler at this time so I masked both sides, prepped then painted with Rustoleum bed liner coating. It's thick and the matte finish helped to hide the fact that it isn't exactly perfect. You can still see it a little while kneeling down but not while standing next to the truck.
Guess I did ok and it kinda looks good.

I love the stance on your truck...I like the pinstriping too. It kind of breaks up all the black a little. (BTW, I love black vehicles, I've had several).

I think you saved face pretty well there! And considering the body sheet metal is paper thin on that lower horizontal panel, that's also good preventative protection.

You're right, the aluminum bed sides are PAPER thin! Probably didn't take much to bend that lower panel. That's why I'm really unsure what hit it.
