So I’ve done some researching to find out how to make the truck less bouncy and found the FOX 2.0 IFP Performance Series Rear Shocks in a Pair 985-24-207-2
So I purchased them based off everyone saying how much of a difference they made even just changing the rears out. Fast forward to install, still just as bouncy as before and seems to be no improvement. I know changing the fronts out would make a difference but I was starting with the back based on the reviews. So can someone tell me if I’m crazy, or if y’all experienced this as well while changing them out .

Hey Tanner, you might be crazy, and that could have nothing to do with your suspension but I don’t want to pry.?

I noticed the difference on mine on undulating country roads, rail crossings, and on this crazy series of expansion joints on an expressway ramp in my city.

If you’ve come from non-FX4 suspension, you should notice that the initial hit with these new socks is now a bit stiffer and that the rebound is lessened because it’s dampened a bit more, resulting in lowering the amplitude and number of subsequent oscillations (2 or 3 softer, quicker bounces rather than 4 spongey bounces).

If you’ve come from FX4 suspension, it might not be as noticeable but everything should be a bit stiffer - some might say rougher. It‘s still going to bounce, but it should ride more like a truck and less like a floaty Town Car.

Maybe there’s an issue with your leafs? Just a thought. I hope it works out for you.

thank you for the reply the truck has about 23,000 miles on it. I did in fact come from a non fx4 suspension and the truck really seemed to throw me all around while off-roading. I figured that would fix it a bit but I did not see a difference. However what would be a cost effective front suspension to pair with it. I have a 2.5 inch leveling kit on the front which I know is not good for ride quality?

There are certainly no performance improvements with a level spacer but they give you that look and allow for bigger tires. ?

I went with Fox because I wasn’t concerned with cost. I think there is a Rough Country and a Belltech coil over that is moderately priced. There are others out there as well. Check the Stage 3 Motorsport site and connect with them to learn more about ride quality from their offerings. They seem to know their products well.

@Stage3Motorsports might chime in or DM you with options. Frank might even have a forum member discount code - never hurts to ask.

Yes sir. They will reduce your bed capacity 1800>1500 but doesn’t affect towing capacity. I have Fox 2.0 in front and Fox 2.5 in back set to medium.
