I can’t say that more miles will help your situation but it helped mine, that and a tune and better tires smoothed the vibs.
I would almost swear mine had water in the tank.
You said you had a tune but you didn’t say anything about the EGR.

Good luck.
I haven't replaced the egr sensor but if you think this could be the problem, I don't have a problem replacing it

It's a pretty cheap part but if faulty should be covered under warranty, worth a shot or wait for more input....?

You said your replaced the fuel injectors. I felt sure that was my problem but never replaced them. I did replace my coil-paks but noticed little difference.

I recently went back to the stock tune just to see if my fuel mileage would change by using regular over premium, thanks to Brandon$ inflation. I've burned three tanks of reg and it's actually gone down slightly and my 1500-2000 rpm roughness that I had when new has returned. Go figure.
I'm a little over 30K miles now.

It is no secret the engine runs very lean when in closed loop. Once the engine warms up, and the ECU goes into open loop, everything is fine. Typically, the engine is a bit cold blooded (takes its time warming up), I don't suffer much because I garage my Ranger in a heated/cooled garage.

As noted, the Performance Tune does fix the issue, nor will it ever. And, if you think the Ranger is bad about cold start woes, buy yourself a Hurican!

Ford Performance tune, Roush cold air intake, running 93 octane gas, new fuel pump, injectors and colder plugs done by dealer to try and resolve issues. Also installed catch can.
My truck has been left totally stock. I do wait until the DI stabilizes (about three seconds) on a cold start, before putting it in gear. Also I wait until the temp gauge starts to move before crowding it hard.
As a result, the truck runs as designed and gets no significant fuel in the oil.
I am sorry to hear of your frustrating experiences.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
My 21 hasn't exhibited this either before or after the tune, I do garage it and let it come off high idle before taking off but it has never idled rough, just a little jerky shift until warmed up a bit. Hope you get it worked out.

I know I'm complaining to an issue thats only for the first few miles of driving. It does clear up and drives fine, just driving me crazy that I can't figure out whats the problem.
What's driving me crazy is constant vibration at cruising speed. Want to love this Ranger, it's the first brand spanking new truck ever owned (47yrs old) but my high mileage 09 Frontier gives better driving experience IMO. That s my rant for the day

I to have been frustrated by the cold start hesitation , harsh shift when cold issue and finally gave up and replaced the truck with a different different brand vehicle . Took a small loss on the trade but could not stand the drivability issues , nor the "it's normal they all do that" response from the dealership.

So sorry to say that this is my goodbye post as well, as of last night I no longer own the truck.

I’m curious as to what you have tried to correct the vibration. Tire balance for instance?

Hope you got a good trade in, the next buyer may pay more for your Ranger than you did!
Did you try CarMax or the like to sell outright?
No matter, we hear that the chip crisis is ending so maybe you traded at the right time!

Since new and regardless of the Ford Performance tune installed this has frustrated me since buying my Ranger. I've tried everything to resolve this issue and have been told this is normal until engine is warmed up. I've never had an issue before with any of my Fords in the past. My last vehicle was a Fusion Titanium with the 2.0 turbo with the tune and that car ran great all the time, never had a issue like this. Along with the fuel in the oil issue, I'm thinking I should have bought the Explorer ST
That's exactly the same train of thought I'm looking at. That Explorer ST is awesome! Trucks been in twice for the fuel in the oil issue. And they've had the truck for a week now. If I get them to buy back or trade me I'll tell them I want that ST and hope they give me a good deal on one from the manufacturer, for my "Troubles." Tick-tock tick-tock tick-tock.

O.Great
Only tire balance done thus far. Started researching potential fixes recently on the forum but have unrelated priority right now. Guess I'm procrastinating going thru gauntlet of ford service work orders and back and forth

TSB 20-2339 is mentioned here in an earlier forum. The dealers aren't always aware. I haven't tried it. Not very bothersome in my climate. Every quick car I've owned was a little cold blooded.
I have the Ford Performance also.

I just had this done on my stock 2019 and the rough cold start has now been fixed, I dealt with it for over a year and then found the TSB printed it off and took it into the dealer. Its like night and day.
