Is there a way to adjust axle centering or way to mitigate destroying fenders? Truck is Full Icon with leafs in option 3 and Icon bump stops. Tires are 305-70R17 with 0mm offset wheels. Debating adding shims to bump stops, trimming more of the flares and fender, and BDS 1in Shackle lift. Eventually I'll probably go wide body.

Also, bonus question...Anyway to get more droops out of the front?

PSA. Bedsides are cut for my new Coastal offroad rear bumper which is at powder coat.

I am assuming you already have ICON 2.5 extended travel coilovers, and after market UCAs up front...
For that little bit of extra droop you can disconnect/ remove front sway bar, and add the APG billet tie rod ends . The Heim joint ends allow for more range of motion before binding.

I heard sawz-all on the fenders and no more rubbing. Imagine how much more room to move if you completely remove the bed and do 4 point setup. just spit balling here. it seems like that's the direction you dream of heading.

...ok... I'm just pushing my dreams onto your build... sorry

what are those lights in the grill?

If youā€™re into your fenders then your bump stops arenā€™t doing their job.
They are just a little too short. Might shim them but biggest issue is under full flex the axle is too forward. Do they make traction bars for our truck?

Question. I am not into off roading, but you added 2-3" of lift in new suspension, lost said lift with 5" of additional tire height and 2" of width, and are wondering why you keep crunching fenders.

305/70 are 5" taller and 2" wider than stock tires.

The obvious answer is to go back to a smaller tire size. Given the terrain you seem to like to drive over crawling across those ruts,, doesn't seem like tire height helps much, but the suspension system does.

but I am very very very far from any kind of off road expert. It just seems like a simple solution.

Because then I lose approach and departure angle. The main reason I have issues is because the Icon leaf Spring and Bump Stop combo add a lot of flex in the rear. If I wasnt scared of broken front axles my truck would have 37s. I would have cut out fender liners and flare. 35s doesn't look right. I'm on like 1/2in shy of not hitting fenders. If the axle was centered at flex then it wouldn't have an issue either.

Drive around the obstacle? I dunno, I never really got purposefully driving into the most bizarre trail hazards one can find.

Rock crawling I get even though I have no interest in it, purpose made for specific task.

I always thought off-roading was the task for getting to point A to point B the smartest way possible.

You have a somewhat valid point.

But your math is off. His 305/70s are just shy of 34"s in diameter. Assuming he has an FX-4 that's only 3.5 inches taller and 1.5 inches wider than stock. That's only 1.75 inches of increased radius to go into 3" of lift.

The problem really is the increased "flex" of the new suspension.

That being said a slightly skinnier tire, same height, paired with slightly less offset might get the tire to tuck in under the fender/flare. Not sure though as that's not a problem on my truck and I'm not sure what's under (over?) the liner. That might also cause clearance issues up front though.

How tall are your bump stops?

cut the fenders.... or the other option glass fenders. fiberglass will allow for a higher rise and wider stance so the tires wont hit.... this has been covered time and time again on tacoma world so its nothing new to me so either cut the fenders and be happy with insane poke or spend 1k on fiberglass fenders and another grand on painting them

for your front droop question ditch the icon stuff (saying it nicely) and get a proper performance 2.5 ext travel or long travel coilover and remove the sway bar

First thing I ditched was the sway bar. So for everyone saying it. Either my LCA or tie rods are limiting my front travel. Also, my tires are 315/70R17. I made a mistake on size.

Why go around the fun stuff while offroading? I'm not overlanding..... I will probably eventually go wide body on my truck. Not 100% sure but I'm running the Icon bump stops.
