Starting Ranger with FordPass in cold weather

All Rangers have a connection to AT&T. That connection is used for remote start, traffic updates, communication to Ford. You only subscribe if you want to use the totally useless trucks wifi.

I did try the free trial & never was able to get it to work.

I bought my Ranger in Sep 2019 and the Ford Pass is free.
It works most of the time and I have T-Mobile as my phone provider.

Which is why I installed a 3rd party remote start, not all that reliable for me either.

That is about what you can expect from Ford pass. It is operated by a high school class in Detroit. Did you know that when connected to Ford Pass, Ford is monitoring your driving habits. ?

That would be very, very boring for Ford. I'm seriously an old fart.

I would uninstall the app and then reinstall it. It is definitely not an issue with your truck. The app has some bugs, but it has always worked for me.

I initially had an issue activating it .... called Ford and they had me do a radio master reset ... been working like a champ ever since.

If I could ditch the fob it would be better ... I keep setting off the panic alarm while the fob is in my pocket ... doesn't seem to matter how I put it in the pocket.
