You could always get a Mahin
My 2008 JK had all sorts of issues with lifters ticking like mad almost from day one. Dealer never could get it fixed. Only kept it for 8 months because of it. My 81 CJ8 had a inline six that was bullet-proof though.Everybody has an opinion so here's mine. I've had Jeeps most of my life. I still have a 97 Wrangler TJ I bought new that's heavily modified and runs great. Newer models have some issues... I recently traded my 3.6 Wrangler Unlimited (4 doors) Rubicon for my '21 FX4 Lariet for a reason. 2 years ago I got rid of my 3.6L Grand Cherokee and they both had the same problem. Camshaft location sensor CELs. The first time it happened to my JKU, it went to the dealer and got a new camshaft, phasers, and sensors... $1800. Just over a year later the same CEL's popped up so I decided to give one of the local off-road shops a chance. They said they had good success just replacing the sensors and resetting the system. Lasted about 10 months before I started getting the same codes. The Jeep CAN bus electrical system has some issues.... like the horn delays, and windows randomly won't go down or back up without restarting the vehicle. Water leaks are a common complaint both from the top and the floorboards. To be fair, I used the JKU to its max off-road and it was awesome, but the reliability after a while went downhill drastically. Take a look over at wranglerforum.com for the latest issues folks run into. I NEVER thought I'd own anything other than a Jeep, but now I won't own another one.

I cleaned the inside a few days ago so I wouldn't have to add another hour to the job today.
