Right. I read the relevant parts of that thread. The guy you quoted (as you said) used the RF woofers which have the crossover built in, and a RF supplied wire to the tweeter. We don't have that currently using stock woofer.

You may never have issues, but your tweeters may get more power that may damage them, depending on if you punching the jam :)

How I installed mine was to use red T-connectors to connect to the stock wires without cutting off the connector. Connect the crossover to the stock wires, and stuffed everything down inside the door, which fit no problem.
Tom, I installed the crossovers last week, without any change to sound quality that I can discern. At any rate, tweets are protected from my punching the jam ? thans

Today I looked at Amber and smiled, thinking about how much I appreciate the fact that I was able to buy her and what she has become. My little Sabre Ranger not only gets lots of compliments, she is the fastest thing around here thanks to @5startuning and some other mods.

I've let guys from my gun club take her for drives and I still overhear them talking about her when someone new asks "who's truck is that?" The other day she was sitting next to a 250 Tremor and I actually heard someone say they would take her over that. (not looking for arguments)

I have had all kinds of awesome vehicles but she has become my favorite.

Had the bed cap installed yesterday. Today the side and rear flip window will be tinted darker. The cap is white. I'm going to have the sides wrapped in semi gloss black to match the trim on the truck. My lowering kit is on order from Belltech. My indi did that yesterday by phone. Cannot wait to lower it. WTF was Ford thinking jacking up the 2wd model ? If I wanted altitude sickness and nose bleeds, I'd of bought the 4x4. :party:

I have screwed up so many of those things with a flat head screw driver. just be sure that if its a two piece you pry on the right part. From your initial picture, you tried the base instead of the insert and that messes them up. Know what I mean? There is a collar that goes into the hole and then an insert that causes it to swell when pushed in. You want to make sure you are pulling the insert.
Yep, true. When I changed my oil, those clips on the fender piece, were the same, and once I learned to pull up the push pin head first, then pull up the base, I pulled the rest up by hand almost.

Traded it in.

The current crazy used truck prices were too much for me. I traded for a '21 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I have nothing bad to say about my Ranger. If not for this crazy circumstance I would have kept it.

I’m replacing all mine as Icome across them. Biggest PIA ever with these things. Went with these. They got a head you pop first and then trim remove v blade then out. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LDJ0QJQ/ref=ox_sc_act_image_2?smid=A1THAZDOWP300U&psc=1
