Towing with a lift

Hey all, so I am looking to tow a larger trailer 23ft and about 4500 dry. I have fox coilovers and BDS shocks which give me a 2inch lift in the front to make the truck level. Looking at possibly going up to a 3-3.5 inch lift to fit slightly bigger tires. Has any one been towing with a lift that size and also getting helper springs and sumo bump stops. Not quite sure larger bump stops would matter because of the high change and likewise not to sure about the springs.
Let me hear some opinions?

I can not fully answer that but I can say the Tremor tows great and guess your current setup will be fine since it is close enough to similar. I personally would like the ground clearance for trails that a 3.5" kit would provide but I would not do it since I tow pretty often a 19' travel trailer in the Southwestern states which means always dealing with winds. Not sure how your region is but winds are my main reason.

Be mindful of the region you get responses from and try to see how it compared to your side of the country.

Might consider airbags for the rear to keep the a$$ from sagging. Might need lower gears depending on tire size.

I am running an Icon Stage 2 kit (front lifted about 2.5", rear by 1") and Air Lift airbags installed using the approach pioneered by DavidR on this forum. Seems to work great so far for my use cases.

The rear sag without the airbags was noticeable when fully loaded without towing (RTT, fridge & gear) or when towing ( rack removed and bed mostly empty to allow for weight limits), but the air bags allow precise adjustment to fix in both cases.

The advantage of the DavidR approach is that the airbags are not attached at the bottom, so allow for greater rear articulation.

Well since it seem you and most everyone else on here went with a leveling kit instead of a lift kit air bags are going to be your best bet if you do not want to get a weight distribution hitch(if the application allows it).

I myself did the Old Man EMU lift and I dont have to worry when towing as it does berry well!!

What would you estimate that rear drop was on your OME lift? If I remember correctly those UHaul trailers are heavy, maybe 2K, Datsun maybe the same?

So that trailer and car are roughly 5,500 together. Load on the toung? Probably close to 750 due to the fact 800 lbs in the bed will level it out.

As for the drop? A LOT!!!! I dont remember what I used but the OME lift brings the rear up by 1.6 and the front by 2.4. The tires will make a difference as well.

Not sure what that has to do with my comment. I did not complain about sag, with the Tremor and a weight dist. hitch my truck sits level with my trailer. Tows great. I was saying I do not want to lift the Ranger more since I deal with crosswinds rather often.

raising the center of gravity on a tow vehicle is similar to pulling a sled while on stilts. Avoid it. Keep your truck stock for best results.

Truck doesn't care.... Rear is factory other than shocks.
