I’ve done a few things since purchase:
...
Bed mat (truck has factory spray-in)
I have the OEM spray-in bed liner and I'm looking for a mat too.
Please could you share a link?

? And if it's possible, I'd really like to see pictures (particularly of the bottom)

You can get the Dee-Zee rubber bed mat here. There are pictures of the bottom there too.

Stage 3 also has the same one.

2. Engine Cover
Genuine question: what are the pros and cons of having the engine cover (which is missing across 2021 models).

Can I naively assume that the engine is running cooler without cover?

Appreciate your insights!

I don't think the engine cover allows the engine to run cooler (maybe it does, but I don't think so). I've heard others say that it decreases engine noise coming out of the engine bay. The reason I purchased the cover is that it gives the top of the engine a "finished" look and will help keep the top of the engine cleaner. I am super OCD and like to keep my engine bay clean just like the exterior and interior of the truck. That and it just looks cool. It's made with more of a "foam" material too, which is why I think it helps with engine noise. I don't see any disadvantages . . . all I have to do is remove the nuts (two) that screw into the studs and the cover is off (e.g. spark plug access). It used to be standard equipment on the Lariet model but now I think it was discontinued as a way to cut costs.

I added the engine cover and it reduced engine noise to the point that my wife noticed :sunglasses:

It doesn't do anything to reduce the noise of the cyclonic cooling fan though.

Plug the nightlight into the AC outlet in the rear of the console.

The truck sees the small load on the AC inverter and this disables the Start/Stop system.
haha wow, this is big brain genuis right here! I never, in a million years, would have thought about that! Thank you for explaining btw!

Haha the cooling fan on here reminds me of my parents old 5.4 triton Expedition they used to have. That thing (and our trucks) sounds like a jet airplane taking off.

No, not really Big Brain Genius.

Unless Big Brain Genius is seeing where someone else posted something and then remembering it at an opportune time when a relevant comment appears  :sunglasses:.

I don't remember who pointed it out first but if I did I would give them the credit.

Some great, easy to do ideas in here. Not going to enjoy my credit card bill next month, but well worth it. Things I've already completed or ordered are below:

  • American flag decal on rear sliding window - complete
  • Tailgate Damper - complete
  • RANGER letters for tailgate - arrives today; install tonight unless raining
  • Gator ETX Tri-Fold Tonneau bed cover - arrives today; install this weekend
  • Spray in bed liner - appointment scheduled for tomorrow morning
  • AVS aeroskin II textured black hood protector - ordered but unknown ship date
  • Engine cover - ordered but unknown ship date
  • Cup Holder Heroes - arrives Monday

I think I still need the weather strip for the tailgate and want to research the stubby antennae.

Wow where do I start. I had them throw in a spray in bed liner when I bought my Ranger.
First was Weather Tech floor mats with Ford Pass Points.
At the same time the Ford Molded mud flaps with ford pass points.
Second was rubber bed mat!!!
Third and most important tint the front driver and passenger windows. $50/window.
Ionic black nerf bars.
AVS Bug and Rock deflector.
Bilstein 5100 shocks front and back. AWESOME!
Borla Dual Exhaust.
Tailgate damper.
LED bulbs everywhere I could change them.
Truxedo PROX15 Tonneau cover.
Not installed yet but purchased carbon fiber dash kit.
Not installed yet but purchased Diode Dynamics Yellow PRO SS fog/driving lights.
WOW I have spent some coin on my baby and she is only 6 months old.

Re: Stubby Antenna. I purchased one about a month ago. I was pleased with the fast delivery and the customer service follow up. Easy to install and looks good.
However, I recently read a post where one individual said he lost all of his HD channels.
Then it immediately occurred to me that this may be true for my vehicle as well.
I need to re-install my old antenna to confirm. I will confirm in a day or two as we are expecting a lot of rain today and tomorrow.

Tinted windows here in Texas are a must. The biggest bang for the buck was turning in my FordPass points for a Ford Tounue hard folding cover. Gas milage dramatically improved. The Tremor is supposed to have 19 MPH, and I average more than 23 MPH.

Good Luck and have fun.
I've tried to order some things online with my ford pass points, and can't do it. Is there something I am missing? I tried several dealerships and ordering online, no one gives the option of paying with reward points.

I may be wrong as I've not used my points, but I read someone else post that you have to go to the dealer and they need to do some magic. Not sure though.
