What do you think are the best upgrades for the Ranger, for the money? I'm not looking to change tires and wheels or a crazy lift or expensive engine mods. Just cool stuff that no one would think of for the $Money$

A cheap bed cover, some good mats, window tinting, and mud guards all come to mind. You can get those things for various prices, and you can get expensive with them, but that's where I'd start.

Vinyl decals too, if thats your thing.

The things I've done so far:

Spray-on bedliner (got it included in the purchase price of the vehicle)
Hood deflector (Fordpass points)
Ford branded Weathertech floor mats (Fordpass points)
back seat cover/dog hammock
Weather Tech mud flaps (installed yesterday)
trailer brake controller (already had it in another vehicle, so all I needed to do was add the wiring harness)
2 more tie downs for the bed (ordered, but not arrived yet)

Other things coming this summer:
Full height overland bed rack, possibly the Wilco one (for carrying boats, long lumber, etc)
Exodux over-the-tailgate locking bike rack

For me it was switching to the Lariat LEDs headlights. Purchased them used off EBay, so saved over $1000 if I had bought them new. Better light output, better looking light, and I feel it gives the truck a more modern look. It’s still not a cheapo mod, but you asked bang for the buck. I’d say saving $1000 hits on that.

Modifications to my 2020 Lariat 4X4:
Front windows tinted
Vent Visors
Chrome running boards and Ford spray in liner (Dealer & Factory)
Raised Ranger lettering on tailgate
Tailgate damper
. . .and in the future, chrome tailpipe extension

The first thing I got was the gator bed cover for around $200. The swing out tool box (ford points), side window tint an swapped out the muffler.

How was the installation of the mud flaps? Pretty straight forward?

$80---Swapped (and sold) my chrome Lariat grille for a painted version, then color-matched to my truck--It really only costed me shipping and the cost of the paint.
$40--used my Pass Points to buy the fender vents and the cost of the paint to color match.
$20--Plasti-Dipped the factory wheels and all the chrome badges.
Free (or almost free)--De-badged and removed decals.
I like the "clean" look.

I could only tell you from the "Splash Guards - Molded" from the Ford Accessories website, they were extremely easy to install. It was $100 for the set of four.
