I opened the hood today LOL I smelled the oil and yes very heavy smell of gas, so if I can smell it there has to be a lot :(
I am so sorry for triggering that, but if you are giving me the gas could I ask if it is a top tier fuel that you use. That is all I put in mine.?

Another 2019 that has (knock on wood) had no issues - I just had my 5 year anniversary with it and it has 45k on it. Still on the original battery but I do have a new one sitting in the garage waiting for mine to finally die.
Good stuff!

Too bad you cannot get 2019 interest rates on 2024s???

Or 2019 prices! Just for curiosity sake I priced out a similarly equipped 2024 6G and it was over 7 grand more than I paid. That is just nuts.... Truck prices are out of control.

I waited a year and got a 2020 to hopefully prevent any 1st year production problems. There were around 8 recalls on the 2019's. There have been around 5 recalls on mine. My truck has been trouble free so far.

Same, just by chance I got a build date out of 2019 issues but a few months before the blend door recall, iirc June 2020. The only things deleted were tow hooks and engine cover, thankfully back then I was able to purchase easily with Fordpass points.

Plus as others said the best year is before the prices skyrocketed. If I were buying today I would get a used F150 before paying today's prices.

My 21 was not a bad price, I paid $1k under sticker. I can' build the exact truck, but while to not lose any features, other than the color, I'm about nearly $7k as well. But no XLT mid option, so to not lose dual zone climate I have to go to XLT high, which also brings power/heated seats. There is no black appearance package option, so piece picked what I could (runner boards, sill trim, spray-in liner...) and Cyber Orange Metallic is not an option so I picked that nice up charge azure gray. Some updates in the specs still from the 21 would be 360 camera, full stop-go adaptive cruise, trailer brake controller, and trailer pro backup.

My truck is a Cyber Orange Metallic, XLT Mid, 4x4, rear locker, tow package, tech package, black appearance package.

APR 19 build date no problems original owner. Bought it May 20 during Covid shutdown got a great deal and traded in a Focus I was upside down on. (Owed 10k more than it was worth) rolled that over into Ranger loan and now Ranger worth more than I own now. Never regretted buying it I don’t baby it and take it off-road. On problem is CEL light comes on when I fill it up. Changing fuel sender unit tho when I replace the tank to LRA. I think anything built 21-22 is going to have more issues just because Covid and supply chain issues. Just MY Opinion

I agree...got my Ranger during the peak of Covid...9.5% below MSRP and they through in a paint sealant protection coating for no charge. I'm thinking that they also deleted the glove box light for 2020?

My June 2021 is still going strong, but has low milage (17K). One thing I have noted is that this year /month hasn't have any recalls. Battery is slowly declining and will probably last the 36 month warranty period. I was hoping it would die a little faster so I could get a free replacement, but I live in a mild climate.
April 26th was 3 year anniversary for having bought my 2021 XLT. I have approximately 13,600 miles on it. Has anyone had their battery last much longer than 3 years??

2020, just turned 70k, no issues and it's not de-contented.
My cousin owns a repair shop and used car lot and says not to buy a 2021 or 2022 anything from anyone, they're all F'd up from parts and labor shortages during the pandemic.

Still on Original Battery Apr 19 build date. So just over 5 years. I changed my charge output to 90% via Forscan. And first 2 years it was a daily driver now just used for short trips and weekends. Both factors might have helped prolong battery life not 100% sure.

No, my original battery was replaced on warranty after around 2.5 years of use. The replacement battery lasted just under 6 months and was also replaced under warranty. The Ford Battery Management System is a poor design and diminishes battery life too soon. To increase battery life, I got a BatteryMINDer and a NOCO charger.

March 16 2019 build date - had mine for just over 5 years now and about 45k miles - still on the original battery.

I didn't know about the glove box light but I don't really miss it. If I'm reaching in there honestly I'd rather it not be visible.

I had two bad batteries off the showroom floor but the third has been going strong since Feb 2021. I have a battery tender now though. These trucks really need one.
