When I sold my outback a few weeks back, I got the final quote Saturday (after having it go up for 2 weeks in a row). I scheduled a pickup on Sunday for the following Tuesday. They picked it up Tuesday, and the paper work took 5 minutes, start to finish it was no longer than 15min.
When do you actually receive the check?

If I decide to sell it, I won't be buying anything right away.

I will bide my time until the Hyundai Santa Cruz comes out and see if that intrigues me.

I absolutely loved my Subaru Baja Turbo and I'm hoping this is the reinvention of that vehicle.
I hope it works out for you. But I have a feeling that expecting a Hyundai to be anything like a Subaru is a recipe for disaster. Think our GDI engines have problems? Just wait 'til your ride catches fire diving down the highway.

These guys giving up low interest loans in order to sell @ a $2k profit will jump into a "new vehicle" at a much higher rate, if they can even find one, essentially wiping out any profits.

But hey, we all justify our choices everyday

In my case, once they confirmed the remaining loan balance had been paid (by them), they sent me a check for the exact amount of the balance; it took about 5 days. No doubt quicker if there is no loan to pay off.

I will never buy a new Hyundai again, worst new POS I ever had! That great warranty was worthless in my opinion.....sorry, just had to vent a little on my terrible Hyundai experience.

He said there was a lean on it. The bank owns the title. When I dropped mine off, they had it direct deposited in my account the next day. Having a physical check seemed too old skool. :)

wow just wow. Paid 33,529 in Feb.

You folks w unfixable oil dilution, or any other mysterious unfixable conditions, need to take advantage while these values are still crazy.

Because of this thread, I just plugged my Truck info into Carvana and they offered me just under $33k which is within a couple hundred dollars of what I bought it for. Thats nuts for a 1.5 year old truck.
If I had any problems with my truck, I would be clicking "accept" right now, but its been pretty rock solid for me. I'm pretty sure my wife would kill me though if I changed vehicles again, even if it didn't cost us anything. I'd probably get a used truck and motorcycle though for less than what Carvana would give me.

Carvana offered 37,5XX and is finally scheduled to pick up Tuesday. Looked at a few vehicles and none were right for one reason or another. Found a dealer yesterday with a XLT Tremor with tech and tow pkgs in the color I prefer. Deal on the Tremor is 41,7XX OTD with a Line-X liner. But then the dealer asks about my truck. "What if we can give you near Carvana money"? See now I save the sales tax or at least most of it )$2240 tax savings. They actually offer me $36,500 so that gains me $1240 tax savings. Now the Tremor is $40,4XX OTD. I paid $35k ish OTD for my previous truck. Moving up a year and to a crew cab which isn't a benefit for me. I planned to put 4k or so into the old truck for suspension and wheels/tires etc. This is a wash overall so it's worth it.

Not going to get ride of my Ranger. We do like the Bronco Sport but for the money we do not need another 4 wheel drive & do not want to loose the 5 to 6 mpg that what we get in our 17 Sportage just to have a sport. That being said I checked Carvana and got a locked in price till May 1 of $14,163.00 for our base model Sportage. Went to a dealer to play the game & they offered us $7500.00 for our car & could not even come close. They said they can't believe Carvana is paying that price. Bottom line is if we want to deal sell to Carvana & come back without the trade. We still have our 17 but we are still thinking about it.

and this folks right here is why you shouldn't buy Carvana inventory, no matter how desperate and dumb you are to pay well over the market value of a vehicle.
its still a problem, it just becomes your problem, and you paid top dollar for it.

Now watch the prices fall as Carvana can't move their stock because the smart ones head the advice and refuse to buy someone else's garbage.
So you don’t know what you’re getting for sure if you buy a used car? What?! Thanks for that breaking news..

My Hyundai experience is over 30 years old. But the memory is vivid.

While it was their first entry into the US car market my '87 Hyundai Excel definitely lived up to it's name. It excelled at being the worst vehicle I've ever been near.

I've read that the Korean manufacturers have made great strides in quality. But when I see multiple Hyundais on fire on the side of the freeway it makes it hard to believe.

I look at warranties like door locks. They're there to keep honest people honest. A warranty doesn't mean much if you have to use it every month.

There's a Hyundai dealer in our area that includes a 20 year/200k mile warranty on new Hyundais and Kias.

It's just powertrain of course but it's valid anywhere in the country as long as you have maintenance records for the vehicle.

Hyundai has come a long way in reliability. They are ranked 6th in the market now.

More Reliable

1. Mazda (up 1)
2. Toyota (up 1)
3. Lexus (down 2)
4. Buick (up 14)
5. Honda (up 7)
6. Hyundai (no change)

Ford is ranked 22.

Though to be fair some of those rankings are skewed because problems with stuff like Sync brings down overall reliability (I think Sync is the biggest downfall of this truck. The more I use it the more I dislike it)
