That’s sad, but a badge of honor too! Done helping someone out. Very nice & a great attitude! Hopefully it can be repaired back to “like new”.I was asked to help someone out picking up a garage door. I bought my Ranger to haul things so I was happy to help. In the store we had the boxed garage door on one of those metal carts to move it to the loading area. While positioning to load it into my bed the cart with the 8 foot long box on it slid under my lowered tailgate and scratched the heck out of it.
Looks like I'm off to a paint shop for the holidays. I had those small chips in the passenger door from the lawnmower incident a bit back so I guess I can get it all taken care of at once. I'm not sure if the picture shows it very well but the scratches are right where there is a slight bend in the tailgate. Hopefully the scratches are only on the surface and can be fixed just with painting. The person I helped felt really bad but I told him these things happen. It is what it is and we got the door delivered to his house. I guess doing things a truck is meant for means there is a chance of these things happening.

Just a bit of a bummer since I've had my Ranger for only about six and a half months.
