I was asked to help someone out picking up a garage door. I bought my Ranger to haul things so I was happy to help. In the store we had the boxed garage door on one of those metal carts to move it to the loading area. While positioning to load it into my bed the cart with the 8 foot long box on it slid under my lowered tailgate and scratched the heck out of it.

Looks like I'm off to a paint shop for the holidays. I had those small chips in the passenger door from the lawnmower incident a bit back so I guess I can get it all taken care of at once. I'm not sure if the picture shows it very well but the scratches are right where there is a slight bend in the tailgate. Hopefully the scratches are only on the surface and can be fixed just with painting. The person I helped felt really bad but I told him these things happen. It is what it is and we got the door delivered to his house. I guess doing things a truck is meant for means there is a chance of these things happening. :)

Just a bit of a bummer since I've had my Ranger for only about six and a half months.
That’s sad, but a badge of honor too! Done helping someone out. Very nice & a great attitude! Hopefully it can be repaired back to “like new”.:)

And ordered this rack from https://xtrusion-overland.com/ for my Ranger. I can't wait to get this in and on the truck!

Let me know how it goes. Alan, the owner, offered a pre-release discount. I really like the look and if it will hold up I would like to get this one, I think.

10-4. We had some shipping issues that weren't his fault. He ran out of some of the hardware and thoughtfully had it dropped shipped from the manufacturer to my house on 12/3 out of NY. Well, for some reason, USPS has it bouncing around between CT and MA, OVER AND OVER AGAIN! LOL He also reached out to me and let me know he sent me two parts for a different truck, and shipped out the proper replacements immediately. Those parts will be arriving today. Fingers crossed for a Saturday install!

pretty pricey... but I’m happy with the quality. My brother’s had them on his Tacoma for about 5 years and they still look good. Hope mine last a long time

Do they interfere at all with the heat in the seats?

Hit 10,000 miles this week. Did second oil change level was only up to upper hole. Check this morning new level was at top fill mark will keep an eye on it. Don't think I have an issue so far. Have to check the blend date an see. What day of the week it was built. So far I've got a good one, no shudder, shifts like butter, well maybe the first shift on a cold morning is a little rough. No issues loving my Ranger.
